Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Diagnoses vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience. Performs work as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy. Performs complex and heavy-duty repairs. Services air conditioning systems to include troubleshooting electrical components and installation of complete air conditioning systems on vehicles. 3. Troubleshoots electrical systems and components using a computerized multi-meter to check for voltage, amps, ohms and current draw. 4. Performs drivability test to insure safe operation of vehicles after completion of maintenance and/or repairs. 5. Inspects body damage; repairs and paints a variety of vehicle bodies. 6. Travels to a broken-down vehicle "on the road", analyzes the problems and repairs if possible or requests a wrecker. 9. Communicates status of vehicles to dispatcher over a two-way radio. 10. Services vehicles according to established preventive maintenance schedules. 11. Inspects and performs complete brake jobs on all District vehicles. 12. Inspects and repairs all wheel chair lifts - electrical and hydraulic systems. 13. Demonstrates process of preventive maintenance and other maintenance tasks to shop helpers. 14. Maintains, updates, and submits accurate maintenance records. 15. Records all parts, materials and time to perform repairs and services. 16. Corrects unsafe conditions in work area and reports any conditions that are not correctable to supervisor immediately. 17. Works with hazardous chemicals and materials in accordance with safety procedures. 18. Helps keep shop, equipment, and tools in safe and clean operating condition. 19. Job Summary The Field Forklift Technician will be responsible for inspecting, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing various Material Handling Equipment (MHE). Key Job Responsibilities Perform routine preventative maintenance on Material Handling Equipment (MHE). Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair MHE including, but not limited to: Liquid Propane, Gas and Diesel engines, Transmissions, Hydraulic Systems, Steering Systems, Electrical Systems, and Brakes. Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications. Provide Information and recommend services to the Sales team. Manage work orders (paper and digital) for each job in a timely manner. Perform hazard assessments and maintain a high standard of safe work practices and quality control. Follow company and OSHA safety rules and guidelines. Avoid injuries and damage to property, loss of unused materials and clean-up of work area debris. Completes all necessary company training in a timely manner. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. We are looking for a full-time, reliable, and skilled Fleet Technician. In this position, you will be responsible for a wide variety of activities such as repairs and performing preventative maintenance, and adjustments on our fleet trailers and vehicles. Being reliable and self-motivated with a keen eye for detail is essential in this job, as the ideal candidate will be a problem solver and have solid mechanical knowledge. Responsibilities: Perform repairs, such as fixing broken locks, signs, plumbing on trailers, minor electrical repairs, and small carpentry tasks, etc. Complete regular maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs, replacing DC converters, installing tankless water heaters, and lubricating moving parts of equipment. Replace worn-out parts, ranging from simple components to complex systems. Perform routine checks and adjustments to machinery or trailers. Install necessary appliances and equipment as needed. Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose issues with various equipment and systems. Test the functionality of the mobile asset's safety systems. Reports any issues to our Fleet Manager regarding issues resolved, those needing attention, and those currently in progress.
