Inspect, maintain and repair construction vehicles and heavy equipment/machinery using hand and power tools and appropriate lifting equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Repair and replace damaged or worn parts
Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools
Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects
Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications
Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles
Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings
Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency
Fit bearings to adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices
Examine parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges
Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Work in dusty or dirty surrounding
Workers must be able to stoop, bend, crouch and crawl; use hands, arms and legs fully; grasp, manipulate, and assemble small objects; see and hear well (either naturally or with correction)
Lift up to 50 pounds with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing 50 pounds
Ability to be away from home for long periods of time
Valid Driver's license and good driving record
Must have own tools
Education and Experience:
High school diploma preferred two-three years relevant experience.

JOB PURPOSE

LEVEL OF AUTHORITY
Performs routine duties independently in accordance with established policies and procedures.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Most of the work is performed in an industrial shop or outdoor yard environment. The employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work area is normally moderate, however it may increase while on site. This position requires proper PPE including safety shoes and hearing protection.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for the efficient flow and distribution of calls and work orders.
Responsible for the teardown of tractors and various components.
Repairs equipment for sales and company use.
Mark and label all parts leaving the area.
Troubleshoot used parts problems; make recommendations on switch out of combine and tractor parts and recommend substitutions
Knowledge of parts numbers and all parts locations
Works with the Supervisor to get input and suggestions before proceeding with questionable used parts.
Removes used equipment parts as needed, determines part quality and understands customer needs.
Works Lost Sales on used parts.
May be required to assist in load and transport of purchased equipment.
Works with the shipping department to ensure timely shipment of used parts.
Attends all company training, employee meetings or other events as directed by management.
Follows all departmental procedures and policies. Recommends changes to procedures for supervisor approval.
Follows all safety rules and regulations; keeps work environment clean and free of hazard

Reads and understand operating, parts manuals, and technical drawings
Tests mechanical, electronic, electrical and hydraulic products and equipment after repair or modifications to ensure proper operation and compliance with OEM specifications.
Capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervision
Observe and maintain all equipment according to all safety requirements
Properly maintain all reports, (times sheets, workorders, expense reports, etc.)
Ability to work overtime as well as on weekends.

Have a TWIC card or be able to readily acquire TWIC card.

Supply your own tools with up to date tool inventory (We have a variety of specialty tools in the shop)
Must be able to perform scheduled maintenance cranes, forklifts, and other various equipment
Must be able to document all maintenance and repairs performed on the equipment and file records properly.

Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
Understand electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic circuits a plus

Reporting to the Drilling Superintendent, you'll be responsible for the execution and improvement of drill rigs and support equipment maintenance activities across Exploration. You'll work with the Exploration team to ensure maintenance standards, schedules, and safety expectations are met.
This role requires a Monday through Friday 10-hour days schedule with on-call responsibilities
Adhere to safety protocols, environmental policies, and standard operating procedures
Conduct daily equipment inspections, reporting and repairing defects
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on drill rigs, light vehicles, and support equipment
Operate and maintain various vehicles and equipment, including service trucks, forklifts, and commercial trucks
Maintain accurate maintenance records, document work performed, and schedule repairs
Assist in managing parts inventory and perform basic welding and fabrication for repairs
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Exploration Group
Perform other duties as needed, including operating support equipment for diagnosis and department needs
Current equipment includes but not limited to F150's, F250's, Dodge 5500 gas, Dodge 5500 diesel, Propane forklift, Case diesel forklift, Bobcat skid steer, CAT D5K dozer, CAT 420 backhoe, Sterling/International/Freightliner/Ford commercial trucks (Dump, water, and drill support), Allmand light towers, mobile trailers, and Boart Longyear LF90D drill rigs

What You'll Do:
