Maintains all assigned equipment in a safe and ready condition according to all applicable codes, laws, rules, company policies, and best practices. Reads, understands, and applies information from manufacturer's manuals for service, repair and or component replacement. Accurately reads blueprints (mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic). Completes proper documentation as required. Interacts with and communicates with various groups and individuals, such as the immediate supervisor, other Park managers and staff, co-workers, guests, vendors, contractors, inspectors, etc. Provides guest service according to Six Flags standards when serving the guest, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions, and giving directions. Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Six Flags safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervisor. Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs. Meets Six Flag's attendance requirements as outlined in Six Flag's attendance policies. Adheres to Six Flag's code of conduct including costuming and grooming standards as outlined in employees' Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures. Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong knowledge of control processors, components, and communication networks used in real-time industrial applications. Strong proficiency in developing and reading one-line diagrams, and technical documents. Proficient at maintaining various rides and attractions. Good judgment, decision making and problem-solving skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. License or Certification: Must meet location-specific requirements to work on specific rides and attractions. State or provincial certifications and/or licensing within if applicable in state. Valid driver's license. Welding certification preferred. Experience: Typically requires 4-6 years mechanical maintenance experience, including at least 2 years working on rides. Equivalency: Directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the above requirements.

This role involves preparing cars for races and tests, performing adjustments, tracking component data, and mentoring junior mechanics. The ideal candidate has extensive racecar mechanical experience, strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and collaboratively in a high-pressure, fast-paced, professional racing environment. Responsibilities Manage and execute assembly, disassembly, and maintenance of Porsche Penske Motorsport race cars in support of the above-mentioned series and a safe and efficient manner. Meeting specified deadlines for race car preparation while executing a high level of racecar preparation. Loading the race car on the transporters for safe and on-time transport of vehicle to each venue. Making the necessary adjustments to the car according to established procedures for each race and test event by collaborating with managers, chief mechanics, drivers, and engineers to meet design specifications and achieve desired results. Disassembling, cleaning, and non-destructive testing of race car components. Work in support of all mileage tracking and parts management programs. Supply build sheets and mileage sheets and input data into these programs. The individual will work as a mechanic in the shop and at the race track. The mechanic will assemble and disassemble the race cars and work to prepare them for the race weekend. The mechanic must be versatile to work on all aspects of a race car with focus on front, rear and/or mid sections. At the race track the mechanic will prepare the car for the track by making necessary changes when instructed. As a mechanic the individual will ensure that all components of the car are secured. Responsibilities Cleaning and inspection of suspension components. Cleaning and inspection of engine ancillary components. Disassembly of race cars (suspension, engine and interior components) as required. Installation of suspension components; front and rear. Trim and installation of various components. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. Qualifications Certificate/Diploma from an Automotive Trade School or equivalent work experience is preferred. Previous experience as a mechanic from an automotive dealership or similar experience is preferred. Previous experience on a race team is preferred. Ability to use hand tools is required.
