Auto/Vehicle/Equipment Mechanic Date Available: ASAP MECHANIC PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT SUMMARY: Diagnose repairs with software programs; determine the failure, and repair in a safe and effective manor. Repairs and maintains gasoline and diesel powered motor vehicles, construction equipment, street maintenance equipment, and other miscellaneous equipment. Overhauls major operating units such as motors, transmissions, and differentials; dismantles units and inspects parts, and makes necessary adjustments.
