Carry out preventative maintenance duties according to schedule. Keep daily records of work orders completed and/or duties performed to be submitted to mentor. Order part and materials and control inventory. Clear walks and parking areas of snow and ice, when needed. May be required to be on-call and/or respond to emergency situations during off hours. Assist with other duties as needed that support the core team to fulfill St. John's mission, vision and values. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent certificate of completion required. Three years' experience with machine repair, facility maintenance or related technical education required. Valid and clean NYS driver's license required. Current City of Rochester stationary engineers license preferred. Current NYS Category 7G pesticide technician or application certification preferred. Physical Requirements: Standing, bending, ladder climbing, lifting up to 130 lbs. and pushing, pulling or rolling. Exposure to Conditions: May be exposed to hazards involved with building trades, standard hazards in healthcare setting (infectious disease, verbal or physical aggression), weather and temperatures typical of the region.
