Responsibilities
Performs complex diagnosis, repairs, inspections and preventative maintenance for non-contractual customers.
Perform routine vehicle maintenance including, but not limited to, tune-ups, oil changes, tire changes, fuel filter changes, fluid checks, alignments, basic suspension replacement and light and mirror replacements.
Ability to diagnose, repair or replace engines including but not limited to alternators, starts, radiators, and injectors, transmissions and other fuel components.
Hydraulic brake inspections, repairs, and replacements.
May operate out of mobile maintenance vehicle and travel to customer yards within assigned region.
Possess general knowledge and understanding of the Torque products and services.
Represent Torque/Ryder to establish a relationship with the customer.
Utilize key functions of Salesforce and electronic documentation available. Ensure proper documentation of work orders, customer repair authorizations, and repair notes are within Salesforce.
Perform environmental duties such as site inspections, site clean-ups/disposals, vehicle chemicals with some guidance and direction.
Work in accordance with all federal/regional and corporate compliance guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Removes parts and equipment from airplanes and airplane engines in accordance with relevant aircraft dismantlement models and work task cards.
Disassembles, inspects parts for wear, warping and other defects.
Operates forklift, tug, cherry picker, scissors and overhead crane to remove and transport parts and equipment.
Tags parts or equipment taken from aircraft to record original location of parts or equipment.
Cleans runway and other work areas daily.
Builds crates to store and ship parts and equipment.
Perform duties in accordance with EHS guidelines and proactive in identifying and report EHS concerns.
Demonstrate accuracy, thoroughness and reliability, make continuous improvements and act on quality problems according to the company's Quality Management System.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

I. General Job Description
This position will be responsible for the maintenance and repair on all types of commercial trucks and equipment while working out of the fully equipped mobile service truck. This position will be responsible for the diagnosis and repair of all vehicles and equipment serviced by the Company's facilities. This position will be expected to perform with the highest degree of professional competence, as it relates to quality of work, product knowledge, and customer service.

Responsibilities
Complete repairs in estimated time per industry standards.
Grow and maintain the customer base
Perform DOT inspection, troubleshooting, and repair on all areas of a vehicle including electrical, charging systems, starting systems, engine, HVAC, powertrain, and chassis components.
Repairs include diagnosis and removal of injectors, cylinder heads, camshafts, main bearings, rod bearings, and transmission/clutch components.
Utilize various diagnostic equipment, software, and technical publications/information to determine root cause of customer complaint and repair solution.
Maintain service truck, supplied tooling, and parts inventory to Company's expectation.
Provide thorough documentation that supports complaint, cause, and correction.
Perform preventative maintenance when requested.
Respond promptly to customer requests and foster customer relationships.
Report to customer and service administration on any deferred repairs.
Flexibility to be available after hours and alternate days.
II. Minimum Job Qualifications
18 years of age.
4 years of dealer experience as a Diesel/Service Technician.
Valid Commercial Driver's License and a qualified MVR abstract.
Minimum tool requirements (see below).
III. Desired Job Qualifications
High school graduate or GED with 5 years of experience in a truck dealership or equivalent experience.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

About this Role
Mechanic at Southern Electric Corporation shall possess the ability to operate/drive any truck, including tractor trailers in order to support all assigned work activity. Employee must have three (3) years' experience and possess a valid commercial driver's license.

Capable of loading and unloading equipment and materials.
Capable of securing loads on trailers.
Adheres to all Company and Safety Policies while conducting Company business.
Shall attend training classes as prescribed by the Training Department.
Capable of operating most construction equipment, booms, etc. if needed.
May also perform other duties as needed.
Trustworthy and safety minded and must be conversant with all safety procedures/requirements applicable to the equipment.
Have the ability to spot or recognize potential danger areas and take evasive actions on his/her own initiative.

Is required to maintain a current Medical Certification Card.
May be required to obtain light crane certification for boom trucks etc.
May work in storm restoration operations to rebuild and/or repair damaged power systems.
May attend training classes or seminars to gather knowledge of new processes, safety regulations and/or refresher training.
All individuals in this personnel classification must meet requirements of OSHA standard 29 CFT 1910 for the specific operated equipment.
