The Electronic Fleet Technicial duties include the install, service, and repair communications equipment and other electronic devices in vehicles and city owned facilities. Install and remove all types of two-way radio equipment and associated equipment in police vehicles. This may include radar, video, computer, emergency lighting and other equipment required for communications and Police operations. Fabricate metal and electronic parts for communications equipment. Install and support hardware, software and other components related to specialized police equipment. Provide technical assistance and training to users on personal computer hardware and software operation. Handle and assist with installation, maintenance, and operation of computerized and video equipment throughout the police department including buildings and vehicles.
