We are currently looking to hire an experienced Oil Field Mechanic to work on drilling rigs in the Northwest Regions of Texas and Eastern New Mexico.
Requirements
Responsible for repair and maintenance of all equipment associated with Norton's fleet of drilling rigs
3 to 5 years experience with drilling rigs, heavy machinery, and repairing hydraulic equipment
Must be able to report to Levelland, TX Monday thru Friday 8am - 5pm with on-call rotations
Must be able to travel to job locations in the Eastern New Mexico and Northwest regions of Texas
Must be able to stand, bend, twist, reach, climb, kneel, grasp, push, and pull
Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs
Must have a clean driving and criminal record
Preferred
In-depth knowledge of equipment on drilling rigs
Overhaul and repair to mud pumps and drawworks

Qualifications
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE:
*5+ years of verified experience of Commercial Tractor and Trailer repair experience.
*Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
*Ability to lift 100+ pounds.
*Basic Computer Skills to submit repairs for billing.
*Follow oral and written instructions to complete daily tasks.
*Basic reading and writing skills to complete customer repair orders.

What we Look for:
* Diesel Technician experience, 3 - 4 years preferred
* Ford Diesel experience a plus
* National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification(s) or certification(s) in: brakes, electrical/electronic systems or engine performance preferred.
* Valid driver's license and good driving record
* Strong focus on achieving a great customer service experience
* High attention to detail
What you will do:
* Efficient and accurate work in accordance with dealership's and factory standards
* Complete system diagnostics and full automotive troubleshooting and testing
* Road-test vehicles to ensure quality work
* Maintain an organized shop area
* Communicate directly with service advisors regarding the status of the service work
* Continuously learn new technical information and techniques
All applicants must pass pre-employment testing to include: background checks, MVR, and drug testing in order to qualify for employment*
