This is a salaried position with a guarantee of 40 hours a week
The shift is typically Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm. No weekends
Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct thorough vehicle inspections.
Diagnose and repair vehicles to manufacture specifications - engine, driveline, brake and hydraulic, exhaust, fuel, ignition, electrical, suspension, and alignment.
Seek ways to improve shop and employee proficiency, learn new technical information and vehicle repair techniques in a rapidly changing automotive repair environment.
Assist fellow technicians/mechanics in diagnosing and performing vehicle repairs.
Keep store management aware of vehicle updates in a timely manner.

POSITION SCOPE
The Field Crusher Mechanic is a safety sensitive position that performs routine maintenance as well as minor and major repairs, on all the equipment in the aggregate stock fleet. Needs to have experience as a general crushing mechanic that understands and knows how to weld, fix and repair crushing equipment. They will be responsible for examining the equipment when it is in for scheduled service to determine if additional service is needed.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Diagnose and repair mobile rock crushing equipment, screens, and conveyors
Preform liner changes on jaw, cone and impact style crushers
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, changing outerwear parts in crushers, checking/replacing bearings and belt on conveyors, recording of damage or misuse of equipment
Keep work area clean orderly; Maintain safe and responsible work habits in a shop or outdoor environment
Ability to weld/fabricate chutes, hoppers, structures and miscellaneous parts as needs in both shop and field environment
Travel to sites to repair equipment onsite
Ability to think quickly and adapt to ever changing field situations
Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) with coworkers, even in high stress situations.
Document and discuss with supervisor any major repairs that are discovered.
Personal protective equipment is required when performing this work, such as hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, protective clothing, gloves and other protective equipment as required by law.
Work can be in a mine or plant setting which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity and moving mechanical parts.
Mechanics are expected to supply personal tools.
May need to attend additional training sessions with different equipment manufacturers.

POSITION SCOPE
The OTR Field Mechanic is responsible for performing preventative and emergency maintenance of repairs and maintaining company vehicles, material delivery trucks, along with other vehicles and heavy equipment related to industry. Travel is required.
PRIMARY DUTIES
