Responsibilities · Perform predictive and preventative inspections and repairs on mechanical equipment as identified in the CMMS system · Perform reactive work to mechanical equipment as directed by supervision in the event of equipment failure · Disassemble, inspect, and repair equipment as specified through work orders · Follow instructions from job foremen on specifics of job tasks · Identify worn or damaged parts and materials on mechanical equipment · Maintain proper housekeeping of job site during and after job completion · Identify reliability and safety improvements to equipment and processes · Use company systems to track and report daily work · Responsible for following all safety procedures, acting safely themselves, requiring coworkers to act safely at all times, and actively participate in Safety meetings and programs such as behavior based safety observations Skills and Ability · Work with hand tools, power tools, and equipment to perform job tasks · Basic understanding of mechanical principles · Understanding of conveying systems is desired · Understand and carryout written and oral instructions and procedures · Work shifts as assigned and overtime as required with reliable attendance · Apply logical thinking to solve routine and non-routine problems · Adapt to changes in technology, policies, and procedures · Strong Teamwork Behaviors · Willingness to learn new skills and attend training Qualifications: · High School Diploma or equivalent · 3 to 5 years' experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field · Must have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team · Basic computer skills · Minimum or three years prior work experience · Knowledge or experience in sugar processing desired View all jobs at this company
