The A-Level Technician is responsible for advanced diagnostics, major repairs, and proactive maintenance of Heavy Duty fleet vehicles. Working closely with fellow technicians and Operations, this role ensures vehicle reliability through accurate scheduling, field repairs, and timely change-outsminimizing service disruptions and supporting safe, efficient transportation for staff and clients. Requirements: * Must be at least 21 years of age * 5+ years of maintenance experience working with a variety of vehicles; experience with transit buses and motor coaches strongly preferred * 609 (EPA) HVAC Certification * Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with HD electrical systems, air brakes, and suspension systems * Proficient in the use of diesel engine diagnostic software, including but not limited to Cummins Insite, QuickServe, AllData, WABCO, and Bendix * High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical school training preferred * Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record * Current/Active DOT Medical Card * Must pass pre-employment DOT drug test * Able to communicate proficiently in English * Ability to be flexible in schedule to meet operational needs. This may require occasionally working outside of regularly scheduled hours. * Must be willing to work in outside environments, which may include inclement weather. We have a fleet of dump trucks, crushers, screens, excavators, chippers and loaders ext. We have an excellent opportunity for a driven individual with an appetite for knowledge and growth to join our team as a Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprentice. Requirements Responsibilities and Duties - Performing routine maintenance tasks such as checking vehicle performance and fluid levels, changing oil, changing filters, and troubleshooting mechanical issues. - Assisting with complex repair tasks, guided by an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic. - Adhering to safety procedures and ensuring workplace cleanliness. - Learning to use diagnostic tools and interpret findings to address mechanical issues. -Responsible for dismantling and reassembling heavy equipment. -Responsible for repairing and replacing damaged or worn parts; -Responsible for cleaning, lubricating, and performing other routine maintenance work on equipment and dump trucks; -Responsible for examining parts for damage or excessive wear; -Responsible for diagnosing faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs; -Responsible for testing mechanical products and equipment after repairs or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specification; -Responsible to operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment in order to diagnose defects; -Responsible for performing service repairs, and maintenance work on mobile equipment and crushing plants. Qualifications and Skills -Ability to read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings; -Ability to perform repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment; -Knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulic, fuel and air brake systems; - We are looking for team players who have a strong willingness to learn, are proactive, and have good communication skills to work smoothly with our team of skilled Mechanics.
