This is a multi-craft maintenance position focused on the troubleshooting and repair of log trucks and light vehicles through mechanical and welding skills. The position is full-time, swing shift, Monday - Friday. Hourly employees at this operation are represented by the IAM-AW Union. Two (2) years of diesel school and three (3) years OTJ or equivalent (6-7 years on-the-job training). Class A CDL or ability to obtain in one year is required. Must be safety conscious, self-motivated, an effective team player, and able to organize and prioritize work. Proficiency in fixing and/or re-building both diesel and gas engines, drivetrains, anti-lock brakes, electrical, emissions systems, etc. Desire to further develop your skills as well as new competencies as they are required to meet the maintenance needs of the operations. Must provide own personal tools of the trade. Experience with Cummins Insight, Cummins Quick Server, and Paccar DAVIE maintenance software programs is desired. As a Senior Service Center Airbus H145 Mechanic, you will report to the Service Center Manager and will be responsible for leading maintenance projects and performing maintenance functions primarily on turbine helicopters. This position will also be responsible for supporting maintenance projects on jet, turboprop and high-performance piston aircraft. Ideal candidates are engaging, energetic, and driven. We are looking for someone who can work independently within their areas of responsibilities under limited supervision. The right candidate also values a strong work ethic and optimistic attitude while maintaining a critical eye for detail and organization. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. We require overtime during the week and on weekends when it is necessary to maintain our commitments and keep the shop's schedule in balance. Job Responsibilities Supporting the Service Center Manager in execution of responsibilities as defined in Hillsboro Aviation's Repair Station Manual (RSM). Supporting the maintenance quality, efficiency, and regulatory compliance on all customer aircraft. Ensuring aircraft are maintained in accordance with the approved aircraft inspection program. Ensuring airworthiness and availability of assigned customer aircraft. Coordinating maintenance logistics to minimize downtime and maximize aircraft availability. Maintaining a high standard of quality for the shop environment, tools, and records. Other duties as assigned.
