About the Role: The Sr. Field Mechanic with MYR Group you'll travel to project sites across the designated service area, supporting our field teams. You'll use your skills to perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and minor equipment repairs safely and professionally. Essential Functions This is considered an advance-level skilled or career level position Perform mechanic assignments using independent judgment to make decisions requiring the application of procedures and practices to specific work situations Perform a full range of servicing and repairs on various types of fleet equipment, including malfunctioning parts and systems. Must be capable of operating company vehicles and equipment on a daily basis. Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and good DAC Report. A valid Class B Commercial Driver License (CDL) is desired but not required. Must be at least 18 years of age. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. The Position As an FAA Certified Part 145 Repair Station, Hillsboro Aviation provides comprehensive maintenance and avionics services for a wide array of aircraft. From privately owned airplanes and helicopters to fixed and rotor-wing fleet operators; our clientele encompasses private, commercial, and government sectors. Our full-service facility in Hillsboro, Oregon supports scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, modifications and upgrades, avionics, and AOG emergencies. Our factory-trained mechanics and avionics technicians boast an average of over 20 years of experience. As a Senior Service Center Airbus H145 Mechanic, you will report to the Service Center Manager and will be responsible for leading maintenance projects and performing maintenance functions primarily on turbine helicopters. This position will also be responsible for supporting maintenance projects on jet, turboprop and high-performance piston aircraft. Ideal candidates are engaging, energetic, and driven. We are looking for someone who can work independently within their areas of responsibilities under limited supervision. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Ensuring airworthiness and availability of assigned customer aircraft. Coordinating maintenance logistics to minimize downtime and maximize aircraft availability. You will perform engine diagnoses and complete engine rebuilding, major component repair and replacement, preventative maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks. This position requires a knowledge of vehicle systems, computer programs associated with Engines and tanker components. Experience in aluminum welding and metallurgy is a plus. Essential Functions * Routine vehicle preventative maintenance inspections and adjustments. * Repair malfunctioning components, change brakes, adjust steering systems, replace worn out parts, and change hydraulic fluids. * Extensive engine experience on Cummings ISX, Caterpillar and Paccar MX, Detroit. * Knowledge in the Cummings onsite diagnoses program and the Paccar Davies diagnoses program. * Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, as well as power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, and jacks and hoists. * Perform a variety of routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and changing tires. * Adjustments and light repairs such as tire changes, light changes, and basic electrical work. * Experience in petroleum tanker piping systems a plus. * Aluminum welding experience is a plus. * Complete all applicable company training programs. * Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor. Requirements and Qualifications * Two years of experience in a maintenance role. * Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification preferred. * Experience working with heavy transportation vehicles, aircrafts or ships preferred. * Broad knowledge of the industry's best safety practices. * Strong troubleshooting skills. * Excellent interpersonal skills and team orientation. * Computer literate with experience Microsoft Office email and hours of service management systems. * Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment * Considerable knowledge of the methods, materials, tools, and standard practices of heavy equipment mechanical work. * Considerable knowledge of the operating and maintenance requirements of various types of heavy equipment. * Some knowledge of the occupational hazards of the mechanical trades and of necessary safety precautions. * Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions. * Ability to locate and diagnose defects in diesel and gas-powered equipment. * Skill in use of tools and equipment and their care in the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment. * Requires valid driver's license and clean driving record, Class A with Tanker endorsement preferred.
