As a Fleet Maintenance Tractor Technician, A Level, you will be responsible for performing core elements of fleet maintenance primarily with Tractor assets, but will include exposure to other fleet assets within the operations. APPRENTICE TECHNICIAN We are seeking a motivated and reliable Apprentice Technician to join our dynamic team in the HVAC, Refrigeration, and Commercial Kitchen Equipment Repair industry. As an apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience, learn essential technical skills, and work alongside skilled professionals to become proficient in servicing, installing, and maintaining HVAC systems, refrigeration units, gas, steam, and electric. This individual must show growth within six months to one year before moving on to junior technician status. The Apprentice will be evaluated every three months and rotate between technicians to ensure diverse training. Key Responsibilities: Assist senior technicians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, refrigeration, and commercial kitchen equipment Learn to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues using tools, meters, and specialized instruments Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning of equipment and systems Assist with system inspections, identify malfunctions, and provide recommendations for repairs or upgrades Maintain and organize equipment, tools, and spare parts inventory Keep accurate records of services performed, including diagnostic results, repairs, and parts used Adhere to safety guidelines and best practices when handling equipment, tools, and hazardous materials Participate in on-the-job training and attend formal training programs to develop technical knowledge and skills Communicate effectively with clients, answering questions and providing updates on repair or installation progress Assist in the preparation of estimates and work orders under supervision Support senior technicians in troubleshooting complex issues as experience is gained Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. TROPIC OCEAN AIRWAYS LLC MECHANIC Directly Reports To:Mechanic Shift Supervisor Mission of this Position:Work side by side with A&P mechanics and supervisors, to inspect, test, repair, maintain, and service aircraft and aircraft systems following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to properly perform safely, accurately and on-time. Key Responsibilities: Meet or exceed position's duties/expectations and FAA regulations while displaying initiative, adhering to Tropic Ocean Airways (TOA) SOPs and aligning with core values of the organization. Work under the supervision and guidance of the Director of Maintenance (DOM) and Assistant Director of Maintenance (ADOM) of the department to ensure that aircraft are prepared to safely function per regulation. Participate in internal communication with all other departments related to equipment considerations, product excellence, scheduling issues and required paperwork. Focus on safety by observing self and teammates and being vigilant. Report issues and offer suggestions to promote continuous process improvement. Examine and inspect engine or other components for cracks, breaks, or leaks. Disassemble and inspect parts for wear, warping, or other defects. Assemble and install electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural components and accessories, using hand tools and power tools. Adjust, align, and calibrate aircraft systems, using hand tools, gauges, and test equipment. Service and maintain aircraft systems by performing tasks, such as checking oil levels, fueling aircraft, greasing moving parts, checking tires and checking brakes. Perform calendar and hourly inspections and other collateral duties as assigned such as inventory control. Must have knowledge of modern engines, cat skid steers, lull highlanders, electric scissor lifts, able to diagnose problems with own scanner and tools, order parts, install, and clean up work area. MUST HAVE OWN TOOLS AND BE WILLING TO WORK OUTSIDE. MUST have good clean drivers license approved by our company's insurance.
