The technician is responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting possible issues as well as suggesting and implementing solutions. The service technician is also responsible for communicating with other employees and operating vehicles in a safe and professional manner. JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES (A TYPICAL DAY) * Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc. * Utilize diagnostic tools, special service equipment and standard test drives to monitor vehicle components and systems * Communicating with the proper service advisor so that customers can be informed of any possible additional services needed. * Complete video MPI's on every repair. * Maintain a clean, and safe working environment. * Produce legible and accurate paperwork reflecting the work performed.
