THE WORK
The Experimental Aircraft Mechanic will perform work using general instructions, drawings, and E\.O,'s\. Perform other miscellaneous and related duties involved in technical modifications and overhaul and repair operations in accordance with individual job assignments or as workload warrants, including cleaning aircraft and parts, moving aircraft, and other duties\.
Work shall be performed primarily in Stratford, CT\. OCONUS/CONUS travel will be required to support business requirements\.

Completes daily equipment repair logs.
Directs work of semi-skilled helpers.
Performs related work as required.
MECHANIC B:
Must obtain CDL with air brake endorsement within one year of appointment.
Does general overhaul and repair work on light and heavy trucks, gasoline and diesel motors and other automotive and mechanical equipment; repairs and replaces shock absorbers, brakes and transmissions; adjusts clutches; checks and balances wheels for proper wheel alignment; repairs and installs hydraulic controls.
Tunes motors using standard testing equipment.
Does diversified electrical work on automotive equipment such as installing batteries and terminals, repairing and adjusting lights and repairing generators and starters.
Makes road tests to locate defects in equipment operation and as a check on repair work before the return of equipment to active use; utilizes a variety of common testing devices such as ammeters, volt meters, gauges of various types and other equipment.

Mechanic
Candidate should have one to five years of experience and/or training in vehicle/construction equipment repair and maintenance shop or any combination of education, training and experiences that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. Must be able to work efficiently in a busy environment independently. Attention to detail and pride in your work is a must. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. Work extended hours outdoors in a variety of weather conditions out of service van. CDL preferred but not required.

For compliance purposes for NYS transparency, the expected salary range is $28.00 - $38.00. Compensation will be based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Mechanic: Performs work in the repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment; performs related work as assigned.

He/she communicates with customers, educating them on necessary preventive vehicle maintenance. Additional duties may include courtesy services, and tire repair and replacement services.Responsibilities
Performing upper bay and lower bay oil change and inspection functions
Explaining SpeeDee programs, services and pricing structure in order to achieve high customer satisfaction and increased revenues
Attending training sessions that are applicable to the career path and position requirements
Performing preventive maintenance on fluid services equipment
Following appropriate safety procedures and notifying the Shop Manager of safety hazards or needed equipment repairs
Requirements

Valid state driver's license
Other Duties and ResponsibilitiesIn addition to the duties listed above, every crew member is responsible for general center maintenance and cleaning duties such as mopping, washing center windows and clearing litter. Crew members must attend crew meetings as required, as well as other duties assigned by a supervisor.Job Qualifications

Working Conditions
Materials and Equipment used: Automotive oils, fluids, and lubricants. Windshield washer fluid, battery electrolyte
Environment: Frequent exposure to outside weather elements, noise, and vehicle exhaust fumes throughout the entire shift.
Physical Activities: Position requires good corrected vision, hearing, frequent standing, walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, handling, reaching, and lifting.
