Job Description
This position is responsible for providing on-highway truck preventive maintenance repair services to respond to customer needs in a positive, caring, and timely manner. Must build rapport with customers through technical expertise and quality service on equipment so, that service value is received. This position requires a self-motivated, thoughtful individual with a high energy level who can work alone or with others in a shop environment.
The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices daily: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.

Essential Functions:
Troubleshoots and diagnoses moderate engine & Transmission malfunctions, failures and prepare to provide repair services
Performs moderate engine and related equipment repairs on trucks and trailers
Uses computers and related software to assist in diagnosing and reprogramming engines
Completes documentation for service reports, timecards, parts requisition, and returns
Interprets and utilizes information from operating, maintenance, online resources, and service manuals/bulletins
Operates equipment and vehicles with possession of all necessary licenses and certificates
Adheres to contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations
Maintains all company equipment, tools, and the vehicle in good, clean, and working order
Communicates job progress to supervisor and customer as needed
Works overtime as required by workload and customers' needs
Projects professionalism with both internal and external customers, including personal appearance
Completes all assigned Technician Training Path courses and safety training
Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrates the ability to improve time in the disassembly, inspection, determining parts required, and reassembly of repairs
General knowledge of equipment and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
Knowledge and proficiency with current computer software, related hardware, and On-Highway Truck electronic systems diagnostic tooling
Operation and control skills of On-Highway Trucks & Trailers

Education and Experience:
A high school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of 2 years of on-highway truck service required
CDL - Class A or B preferred
ASE - Medium/Heavy Truck Certification one or more preferred

Limited travel or overnight stays
Travel to other stores that require help during times of heavy workloads may be expected

Must own and maintain the necessary tools to efficiently perform the job

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
* Team up with experienced techs and learn the ropes
* Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry and appliance maintenance
* Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements
* Repairing the trailer approved by customer, warranty or manufacturer
* Communicating with all departments when more information is needed or when problems arise
* Ensure that the final work product meets quality standards
* Stay organized with tools, parts, and materials
* Keep your workspace clean and safe
* Pick up parts and supplies when needed
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
* Some Technician experience in either Auto, Carpentry, Electrical, HVAC, Maintenance, Plumbing, etc. or Trade School
* Support service team technicians
* Running errands for parts or supplies
* Assist in other areas of service department
* Show potential for growth and ability to learn RV repair techniques

Quick Lube Technician Responsibilities
Check and communicate oil level to teammates
Ensure tire pressure for proper inflation
Inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary
Complete vehicle inspection
Install a new oil drain plug and a new oil filter
Clean and lubricate fittings as needed
Providing excellent customer service keeping in mind that our customer's perspective comes first
Service Technician Responsibilities
Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
Qualifications
Previous experience at an automotive dealership
Strong understanding of the service drive
Years of experience vary per position
High school diploma or equivalent
Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
Mechanical and troubleshooting skills
Excellent customer service skills
Basic computer competencies
Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality
Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
Team player with ability to collaborate with others effectively
Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Willing to submit to pre-employment drug screen and background check
