What you'll be doing every day as a Dietary Aide:
You will provide and foster a culture of placing our residents and guests first in the daily decisions involving their care and life in the community including preparing dining areas for service, serving correct diets to residents, washing dishes, and assisting in other culinary operations.
Who we are looking for:You will be able to demonstrate composure, customer focus, patience, and the ability to gain trust and establish rapport with residents and the team. General knowledge of cooking, dietary restrictions, and previous experience as a dietary aide is a plus, but not required! Morning and Evening availability is a must for this role.

Job Responsibilities of a Dietary Aide
As a Dietary Aide, you will be a source of information, support, and supervision to your care team. Some of your responsibilities include:
· Practice good sanitation in handling food and equipment through knowledge and application of infection control techniques and standards.
· Perform tasks with accuracy and in manner demonstrating care for equipment and environment.
· Assist in meal service through pouring beverages, plating food, preparing & loading trays onto carts.
· Delivers nourishment carts to eating areas.
· Serves as dish room operator by doing those assigned tasks necessary for dish and cart clean up and storage in accordance with procedures.
· Organizes work tasks to perform in an efficient and timely manner.
· Attend in-service meetings and participate in continuing education to maintain and enhance knowledge and skills.
· Maintains confidential nature of residents and work environment.
· Perform daily and scheduled cleaning duties.
Dietary personnel will be responsible for the preparation and serving/clean up of all patient meals utilizing menus that address all preferences, diet orders and interventions.
The Dietary Cook/Aide will serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance, serving the food in accordance with established policies.
Food service experience is preferred.
Pay is $16.50/hour
