The Dietary Aide, or Nutrition Aide, is responsible for preparing and delivering healthy meals and ensuring that patients have the proper foods based on their needs. They work closely with Dietitians, providing them details on allergies or restrictions to create plans accordingly.
Prepare food according to instructions while adhering strictly to safety and health standards. Uses strong attention to detail for all meal preparation to ensure patients receive appropriate food and nutritional needs. Applies effective communication skills since they work directly with patients, Dietitians, and other medical professionals.

Collecting patient food preferences and ensuring compliance with prescribed diet orders. Distributing food preferences to kitcken for menu planning in a timely manner. Operating electronic diet office software and tools following established procedures and protocols.
Navigating electronic health records to access patient diet orders and nutritional reports.
Performing general cleaning of equipment and work areas (e.g., cleaning the tray line, equipment, coolers, office area, and emptying trash cans, etc.)
