Description of Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of a Registered Dietitian, the Enteral Technician enters and prepares Enteral feeding orders for filling and dispensing, maintains work areas, creates DWOs and sends for signature, and enters medication profiles in a timely manner.

Responsibilities Include the Following:
1. Enteral order entry, initial fills and refills:
Places calls to the patient to coordinate a timely and accurate delivery of enteral formula, equipment and supplies.
Prepares labels and generates delivery tickets.
Coordinate care with RD, MD and home health agencies.
Obtain updated weights, formula/supply inventory, compliance, and/or any enteral feeding issues and relay to Registered Dietitian as appropriate.
2. Perform data entry:
Perform data entry of patient medication profiles and patient chart audits
Discharge patients from CPR+ at the end of therapy
3. Enteral team Liaison:
Act as liaison for the Enteral team with the Nutrition Support department
Communicate with doctors, nurses, and hospitals regarding patient care
Able to communicate well with the pharmacy staff, nutrition support team and supervisor
4. Create detailed written orders (DWOs) and send for signature.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Organizational skills sufficient to maintain consistently accurate records.
2. Ability to evaluate options and to make efficient decisions.
3. Current knowledge of all applicable state and federal pharmacy laws, rules and regulations.
4. Computer skills that include proficiency with spreadsheets and use of the internet, as well as word processing, and efficient use of the internet and e-mail.
Ability to use good judgment and work with minimal direction.
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to express technical issues in “layman” terms.
Education and/or Experience:
1. Must have a High School diploma or Graduation Equivalent Diploma (G.E.D.) or Higher.
2. Licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in California preferred / not required.
3. Possess and exercise advanced level of accuracy.
4. Minimum of 3 years' retail pharmacy experience preferred.
5. Home Infusion/enteral dispensing experience preferred.
6. Basic knowledge of insurance, authorization, and billing.

Under the direction of the Region 2-Central Child Nutrition Supervisor I of the Field Service Unit 1 in the FSA of the Nutrition Services Division, the incumbent will monitor and complete administrative reviews of program operators participating in Child Nutrition Programs (CNP) for compliance with state and federal regulations, conduct nutrient analyses of meals served, educate the public as well as nonprofit program operators, provide program-related technical assistance, and analyze and interpret state and federal laws and regulations.
The position requires at least 50 percent travel and throughout the state of California as needed. The hybrid schedule requires a minimum of two days per week in the field or reporting to the office in-person. Registered Dietitians are preferred.
The majority of the caseloads will be in the Kern, Tulare, Kings, and surrounding counties. The office will be located at:

6. Communicate efficiently and in a timely manager with supervisors if/when issues arise.

9. Ensure accurate documentation of refrigerator and freezer temperature logs twice daily.
10. Clean and sanitize thermometers before and after every use.

CLASS CHARACTERISTICS Positions include responsible primary assignments of assistance to the Central Kitchen Production Supervisor, performing cooking and production duties. Works directly with Central Kitchen Production Supervisor to ensure that daily assignments are being completed to department standards. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES Assists the Central Kitchen Production Supervisor in all aspects of cooking, production, assembly, ordering, inventory, and distribution activities, on a primary functional and time allotment basis; communicates directly with Central Kitchen Production Supervisor as it relates to the flow of activity in the Central Kitchen in areas including, but not exclusive to; food supply, distribution schedules and routing, and operation of equipment; on a secondary and minimal time basis would perform any and all Child Nutrition Assistant I duties as assigned; does related work as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of: Methods of preparing sandwiches, salads, desserts, and related food items; Sanitation principles applicable to child nutrition and kitchen maintenance; Basic kitchen utensils and equipment. Ability to: Read, interpret and follow quantity cooking and baking instructions; Operate machines found in school cafeterias and food production areas; Understand and carry out oral and written directions; Count money and make change; Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted during the course of work; Perform some heavy manual labor. Experience: Six months of experience as a Child Nutrition Assistant I in Conejo Valley Unified School District; or the equivalent experience in another quantity food preparation organization. Education: Persons with the experience, knowledge and abilities as stated are considered to have the necessary education. Physical Requirements: The ability to pass a physical examination deemed appropriate by the District and perform the physical requirements of the position.
