* Assists in serving residents in the bistros.

* Maintains acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with the department dress code.

Job DescriptionStatement of General Purpose
The Food Service Aide is responsible for assisting in the preparing, cooking, serving, and cleaning of food meal related services and functions at the Community Center. The Food Service Aide is also responsible for assisting in the preparation of meals for other facilities throughout the Philadelphia area. Applicants must be able to cook meals.
Examples of Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Assists in the food preparation, cooking and serving of meals and snacks for Center Program Participants.
Cleans and maintains kitchen, equipment, and storage areas in clean, safe, serviceable condition.
Assists in preparing a weekly inventory listing of products available for use.
Fills sugar, salt and peppershakers, condiment trays; ensures availability of dishes, utensils, serving trays, glassware, paper products, etc.
Complies with health and safety requirements for food service department employees, cleaning materials and chemicals, tools and equipment, etc.
Assists in preparing meals for other facilities throughout the Philadelphia area.
Stand-in for Food Service Lead when needed.
Performs related work as required.
Core Competencies
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to pass the Child and Adult Care Food Program annual exam.
Ability to comply with the Child and Adult Care Food Program rules and regulations.
Ability to maintain clean, neat, and hygienic work environment.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or G.E.D.,
Valid Serve Safe Certification (Manager Certification) preferred
Experience in large-volume food service,
Any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience.
Other Requirements
This position includes the normal physical demands associated with a large-volume food service department, including lifting, bending, and carrying; extremes of heat and cold; hazardous materials requiring special use and storage requirements; and travel to other facilities throughout the Philadelphia area.
This position is subject to the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
This position requires regular travel between three designated locations and functions as a floater role, providing support where coverage is needed

About the Dietary Aide Position:
If you are friendly, sociable, love the elderly, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this may be a job for you! The Dietary Aide participates in all aspects of meal service in Monticello Skilled Care and Personal Care areas, including food preparation, service, and clean-up in accordance with established regulations and facility policies and procedures. Safe food handling, correct portion size, and quality service techniques for the dining room and room trays will be followed. He/she ensures that food is attractive and palatable and is served in correct portion sizes at proper temperatures according to physician-specified diet orders.

Part-Time Dietary Aide
Little Flower Manor is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide to join our team. The primary purpose of this position is to perform the day-to-day activities of the Dietary Department in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, and as directed by the Director of Dietary.
Starting rate: $14.00-$16.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
Perform daily dietary functions and specific tasks as assigned.
Work with the Dietary Manager to implement necessary changes.
Clean floors by sweeping, dusting, and mopping.
Clean and properly store equipment at the end of each shift.
Dispose of refuse daily according to sanitation procedures.
Report all accidents, incidents, hazardous conditions, and malfunctioning equipment to your supervisor immediately.
Maintain work areas in a clean, safe, and attractive manner.
Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
Assist in the evacuation of residents if needed.
Requirements
Must possess a minimum of a 10th-grade education
No prior experience is required, as on-the-job training is provided.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Must be able to work harmoniously with others.

Must be able to lift a maximum of 20 pounds and push/pull equipment in excess of 50 pounds.
