Description of Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of a Registered Dietitian, the Enteral Technician enters and prepares Enteral feeding orders for filling and dispensing, maintains work areas, creates DWOs and sends for signature, and enters medication profiles in a timely manner.

Responsibilities Include the Following:
1. Enteral order entry, initial fills and refills:
Places calls to the patient to coordinate a timely and accurate delivery of enteral formula, equipment and supplies.
Prepares labels and generates delivery tickets.
Coordinate care with RD, MD and home health agencies.
Obtain updated weights, formula/supply inventory, compliance, and/or any enteral feeding issues and relay to Registered Dietitian as appropriate.
2. Perform data entry:
Perform data entry of patient medication profiles and patient chart audits
Discharge patients from CPR+ at the end of therapy
3. Enteral team Liaison:
Act as liaison for the Enteral team with the Nutrition Support department
Communicate with doctors, nurses, and hospitals regarding patient care
Able to communicate well with the pharmacy staff, nutrition support team and supervisor
4. Create detailed written orders (DWOs) and send for signature.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Organizational skills sufficient to maintain consistently accurate records.
2. Ability to evaluate options and to make efficient decisions.
3. Current knowledge of all applicable state and federal pharmacy laws, rules and regulations.
4. Computer skills that include proficiency with spreadsheets and use of the internet, as well as word processing, and efficient use of the internet and e-mail.
Ability to use good judgment and work with minimal direction.
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to express technical issues in “layman” terms.
Education and/or Experience:
1. Must have a High School diploma or Graduation Equivalent Diploma (G.E.D.) or Higher.
2. Licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in California preferred / not required.
3. Possess and exercise advanced level of accuracy.
4. Minimum of 3 years' retail pharmacy experience preferred.
5. Home Infusion/enteral dispensing experience preferred.
6. Basic knowledge of insurance, authorization, and billing.

Bachelor's degree
4+ years of strong administrative experience in a corporate environment
2+ years in customer service or high end hospitality
High level of accountability for work and tasks
Sense of urgency in getting answers for client
Available to do whatever it takes to get the job done
Interest in health, medicine a plus - experience in entertainment preferred
Interest in caring for and about people

Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Nutrition Assistant you will directly interact with patients and visitors every day. You will personally ensure all dining areas are safely sanitized, well-stocked, and food is appropriately prepared. You understand most guests at our facility are dining with us for a reason and take great pride in giving them one less thing to worry about. You will participate in and support all aspects of healthcare food service operations. Working with facility staff to provide optimal nutritional care and demonstrate excellent customer service to patients, guests and staff.
Follows healthcare food service industry standards, regulations, guidelines and procedures including monitoring and maintaining food temperatures during cooking, holding, and storage processes. Avoids cross contamination of foods and adheres to personal hygiene requirements.
Maintains proper labeling of food products and ensures storage of food equipment, and machinery per regulations and facility guidelines.
Prepares and serves food within guidelines of menu and dietary requirements using required kitchen utensils and equipment.
Maintains knowledge of recipe ingredients to respond to food allergy questions or requests.
Follows organizational standards and guidelines for a high quality patient and customer experience.
Ensures proper meal portioning and an aesthetically pleasing presentation.
May be responsible for one or more of the following: • Cashiering • Serving in the retail area
Assembling, delivering and retrieving patient trays • Performing cold food prep • Performing utility assignments (e.g., dish washing, washing pots & pans, maintaining equipment) • Performing catering functions and or delivering/picking up catered food • Supporting inventory maintenance duties • Supports / performs all department tasks as needed, including general cleaning of equipment and work areas (e.g., cleaning the tray line, equipment, coolers, office area, and emptying trash cans, etc.)
Job Requirements
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Food Handler Permit is a requirement by San Bernardino County, you must obtain it within 30 days of hire
