How you will make an impact
Greet and welcome residents upon their arrival at the restaurant
Ensure the smooth operation of the restaurant by coordinating with seaters to help servers and kitchen staff work efficiently
Assist with preparation, stocking, serving, and post-meal clean-up
Ensure all residents receive adequate nutritional intake
Answer phones professionally and follow up on requests
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the front of the house and kitchen
Assist in training the wait staff
What you will need
Minimum of 6 months of experience in a food service environment is preferred
Be able to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
Flexible with schedule, available to work some weekends and holidays

Overview

NYCP is seeking qualified Part-Time Public Health Nutritionists to join our growing Live Healthy! team. The Part-Time Public Health Nutritionist is responsible for planning activities, events, and workshops, and producing outputs that will lead to healthier communities, focusing on serving the SNAP population. This is a non-exempt, part-time position, up to 28 hours per week including some Saturdays. Extensive travel on public transit is required for program activities (a monthly MetroCard is covered by the grant).

Responsibilities:
Implement SNAP-Ed III Nutrition Education and PSE Activities throughout Upper Manhattan and the Bronx area.

Ensure that there is adequate supply and materials for each activity.
