Responsibilities

Job Summary
The Tommie Sports Nutrition Team is searching for highly motivated, responsible, and adaptable undergraduate students to serve as Sports Nutrition Assistants to the brand-new fueling station opening this fall. This position is for those currently pursuing a major or minor in a nutrition or exercise/physiology-related field hoping to gain more experience in nutritional science as it relates to sports. This position will require a commitment of at least 10 hours weekly, including early mornings and evenings, to run daily fueling station functions including but not limited to stocking and distributing inventory, serving as a primary contact to vendors and athletes, creating nutrition education content, maintaining and cleaning spaces, and aiding nutrition staff with programming and group educations. This will be a semester-long commitment with the capacity to continue through the academic year based on performance and interest.
The Sports Nutrition Assistant (SNA) responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Ongoing stocking/maintenance of grab-and-go options (both shelf stable and temp regulated) and mobile fueling cart for immediate uses
* Preparation for pre/post fueling options around practices and lifts
* Managing inventory data daily
* Understand and enforce expectations of grab-and-go systems and inventory management
* Act as point of contact to vendors for deliveries
* Nutrition education and content creation
* Assist with cooking demos and product taste-testing/similar mini educations
* Aid dietitians in content and lesson creation for monthly/semesterly group sessions
* Cleaning duties and area maintenance for kitchen equipment, countertops, sinks, table tops, stainless steel, dry storage organization, etc
* Keep kitchen and dining area presentation organized and neat
* Maintaining good rapport and professionalism with all sports medicine staff, student-athletes, vendors, coaches, administrative staff, and fellow SNAs
