In this role, you will be responsible for fostering an environment of hospitality for residents under the direction of the Nutrition Services Manager. Main duties include preparing and serving meals and assisting with the setup and cleanup of the dining room. Performs some short order cooking and a variety of prep tasks in the kitchen.

We are an Assisted Living Facility and we are seeking flexible, motivated and energetic Line Cook to join our team! You will work alongside other medical professionals to provide exceptional care to patients.
Your Responsibilities (but not limited too):
Assist in cooking and Prepare resident trays according to instructions/order; employ proper food handling techniques in preparation of food and setting up/serving trays; deliver food, nourishment and supplies to nursing units or other areas as assigned
Put stock in food storage areas and refrigerators as assigned
Clean, wash and sanitize dishes, silverware and utensils used to serve residents and others
Assist in maintaining the general cleanliness of the dishwashing area; clean work area and equipment as assigned.
Use proper infection control techniques and protective equipment as needed; perform all duties using proper safety techniques.
Attend and participate in in-service education opportunities
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Must have knowledge of safe food preparation and handling techniques and work cooperatively as a member of a team.
Previous experience in Dietary Aide Food Preparation/Food Server Meal Server is an advantage
Should be patient and polite and able to communicate effectively with residents, their family members, other staff, referral sources

Responsibilities
Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables and preparing salads.
Serve meals to residents according to dietary needs and portion sizes.
Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in food service or kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies
Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 30 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods.
Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required based on State / County law.
Residency within the service area required
