Complete kitchen and dining room clean up after meals, cleaning all tables, chairs and counters, cleaning of all appliances and equipment used in preparation of the meal.
Complete thorough cleaning of all food service areas and appliances according to department schedules, policies and procedures.
Complete daily and weekly cleaning responsibility sheets.
Maintain standards of work schedule and dress.
Attend food service department meetings when necessary.
Provide other services and assistance as deemed necessary by the Food Service Supervisor/Administration.
Work and cooperate with staff from other departments.
Work independently.
Attend in-service meetings and seminars.

Know and adhere to all company and the local, state, and county health department's regulations.

Job Description
Performs a variety of food service tasks in support of the hospital food service program. Works under moderate supervision primarily in the following areas: Cafeteria, main kitchen, and patient tray line. Follows proper cleaning standards according to regulatory agency guidelines and Infection control guidelines.
Sets food up at proper station(s) and dispenses according to established policy, diet regulation and/or regulatory agency standards.
Operates all equipment including dishwashers, slicers, floor washers, blenders ETC according to established standards and using proper safety techniques.
Maintains adequate supply of dishes, utensils, glassware, and paper service to run an efficient operation during all meal services.
Reports to work in proper and clean uniforms according to established departmental and hospital policy.
Complies with all HIPPA, Infection Control and Safety policies.
Performs job functions adhering to service principles with customer service focus of innovation, service excellence and teamwork to provide the highest quality care and service to our patients, families, co-workers, and others
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Current Food Handler Certificate (or within 30 days of hire).
Previous experience in a food service setting.
Ability to understand and follow instructions furnished in written, oral, and/or diagram form is required.
Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
Must be able to demonstrate a cooperative work relationship.
Good interpersonal and communication skills are important.
