Reports To: Food & Nutrition Services Director/Supervisor
General Responsibility:
Perform a variety of dietary related functions designed to produce three (3) healthy meals daily, in a safe and clean surrounding, according to government regulations.
Specific Duties:
Assist in setting up trays and serving carts.
Deliver trays to various resident dining rooms.
Assist dishwasher in preparing dishes and utensils for washing.
Store clean dishes and utensils properly.
Prepare coffee/drinks as directed.
Maintain clean and sanitary work area by:
-Daily cleaning of all equipment and surfaces
-Return all items to proper storage areas
-Clean spills immediately
Assist in preliminary preparation of foods as directed.
Perform other selected duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Able to read, write and carry out verbal and written instructions.
Previous experience desirable but not necessary.
Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for an extended period of time.
Maintain neat and clean appearance.
Freedom from illegal use of drugs and freedom from use and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
Persons who have been found guilty by a court of law of abusing, neglecting or mistreating individuals in a health care related setting are ineligible for employment in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS:
