This position is for those currently pursuing a major or minor in a nutrition or exercise/physiology-related field hoping to gain more experience in nutritional science as it relates to sports. This position will require a commitment of at least 10 hours weekly, including early mornings and evenings, to run daily fueling station functions including but not limited to stocking and distributing inventory, serving as a primary contact to vendors and athletes, creating nutrition education content, maintaining and cleaning spaces, and aiding nutrition staff with programming and group educations. This will be a semester-long commitment with the capacity to continue through the academic year based on performance and interest.
The Sports Nutrition Assistant (SNA) responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Ongoing stocking/maintenance of grab-and-go options (both shelf stable and temp regulated) and mobile fueling cart for immediate uses
* Preparation for pre/post fueling options around practices and lifts
* Managing inventory data daily

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists in preparing, cooking, and serving food in school cafeteria, cafeterias, or central School District kitchen.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Operates specialized food service equipment.
* Assists in food production, service, and/or cleanup tasks as assigned.
* Receives and unpacks food and supplies.
* Cleans and maintains food service equipment and facilities.
* Participates in ongoing professional training.
* Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions.

Responsibilities
Engages with the residents in a friendly manner with service, friendliness, and a can-do attitude
Demonstrates knowledge of the menu with the ability to make suggestions
Takes food and drink orders from residents with accuracy
Delivers food in a timely basis
Ensures residents are enjoying their meals and acts swiftly to correct any problems
Collects payment from residents and guests when necessary
Enters orders into the POS system for transmittal to the kitchen team
Maintains impeccable personal grooming and hygiene standards
Practices food-safe handling skills
Performs dining room checklists to ensure readiness, cleanliness, safety, and department of health compliance
Performs and ensures dining room set-up and re-set of tables is in accordance with dining room procedures
Is knowledgeable of the specialty diet needs of residents and knows where to get such information
Safe food handling is always practiced
Helps food preparation team when necessary
Qualifications
Previous experience in restaurant, dining hospitality and/or full-service senior living preferred
