STATEMENT OF PURPOSE Under the supervision of the Assistant Food Service Manager, the Production Aide is responsible for serving a variety of food items to employees, guests, and patients, as well as performing other related duties that support food service operations. MAJOR TASKS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare the cafeteria counter for each meal and scheduled breaks as assigned. Ensure containers are fully stocked with dishes, trays, utensils, cups, and other supplies. Serve employees and guests in the cafeteria line, greeting patrons cheerfully and respectfully while following proper portion-control techniques. Clean tables and chairs in the cafeteria or staff dining area after each meal, as assigned. Monitor food availability and communicate with cooks to prevent shortages. Maintain correct serving temperatures for both hot and cold foods. Keep the cafeteria counter neat, clean, and organized. Stock condiments and refill them throughout meal service.
