Responsibilities
Prepares and/or pre-portions food (such as beverages, salads, desserts, and other items assigned by the supervisor) for regular and therapeutic diets according to the planned menu and production sheets and as directed.
Handles food using proper food handling and food safety techniques according to established policies and procedures.
Ensures that food is served in an attractive, appetizing manner. Uses proper tasting technique to ensure that quality standards are met prior to service.
Maintains the proper temperature of food during preparation and service. Records food temperatures according to established policy.

Position Summary
WIC Nutritionist is responsible for conducting nutrition assessments, providing individual and family nutrition education, and developing personalized nutrition plans for pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, infants, and children under five participating in the Women, Infants, and Children
(WIC) program. This position ensures participants meet eligibility criteria and receive appropriate nutritional support according to federal, state, and local guidelines. Employees are responsible for providing individual and small group nutrition counseling for clients with uncomplicated or well-managed
health issues. Clients with complex nutrition and/or medical problems are referred to other health professionals or a higher level Nutritionist.
Essential Functions
* Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments to determine eligibility for the WIC program. This includes accurately documenting medical and dietary histories.
* Collect and Analyze anthropometrics and biochemical measurements.
* Provide individualized nutrition counseling to WIC clients, addressing concerns related to pregnancy, breastfeeding, infant feeding, and child nutrition.

· Prepare and/or deliver food items for restorative program as designated by the policy posted on the juice refrigerator.
· Deliver all meal trays to appropriate destinations on the nursing floor at appropriate times, retrieve trays at appropriate times, and collect any trays or dishware from floor before end of shift.
