**JOB OVERVIEW**
The Dietary Aide is responsible for providing dining room services and/or tray delivery dining services to
guests/residents in the community's Skilled Nursing Center in accordance with Sunrise Senior Living standards. Responsible for proper dining set-up, providing meal and dining services and cleaning of the Skilled Nursing Center dining room(s). Responsible for handling all foods in accordance with sanitary procedures and standards and complies with all federal, state and local regulatory procedures regarding food service.
**RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS**
**Essential Duties**

**General Dining Service Duties**
+ Prepares dining and tray service according to menus and follows therapeutic diet orders.
+ Maintains knowledge of menu items and can provide general description to the guests/residents.
+ Responsible for serving meals, beverages and requested items according to established dietary and skilled nursing guidelines.
+ Responds to the dining needs of the guests/residents while maintaining Sunrise hospitality and service standards.
+ Prepares and delivers snacks and nourishments as directed.
+ Obtains food and supplies for meal service as directed.
+ Maintains accurate records of guests/resident's dietary needs.
+ Follows all local, state/provincial and federal policies regarding food handling.
+ Maintains standards of cleanliness, hygiene and health standards.
**General Dining Room Duties**
+ Maintains assigned tables and surrounding area in a complete state of cleanliness, appearance and readiness.
+ Performs dining room set-up and re-set of tables and tray service in accordance with dining room procedures.
+ Supports the dining room decorum and etiquette standards.
+ Performs and completes opening/closing checklist criteria.
+ Performs and completes side work duties as assigned.
**Resident Services**
+ Reviews, reads, notates and initializes the Daily Log to document and learn about pertinent information.
+ Ensures that the paper copy of SCC resident diet orders is up to date to use in case TSD downtime or emergencies.
+ Reviews Resident Diet Book, confidential Diet Board / Indicator, Data Card or Chart If table side dining is not in place.
+ Maintains and protects the confidentiality of resident information at all times.
**Food Safety and Sanitation**
+ Practices safe food handling at all times to prevent an outbreak of food borne illness.
+ Completes daily, weekly and monthly cleaning assignments.
+ Maintains all work areas in a healthful and safe condition.
+ Assists in dining room and surrounding areas for proper directional flow, organization and supplies placement.
**Risk Management and General Safety**
+ Partners with community team to ensure community is in compliance with national/provincial regulations pertaining to occupational health and safety requirements and promotion of Risk Management programs and policies; adherence to safety rules and regulations.
+ Practices safety procedures at all times including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), fire extinguishers, Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and Lockout Tagout procedures.
**Training, and Contributing to Team Success**
+ Participates actively as a member of a team and committed to working toward team goals.
+ Demonstrates in daily interactions with others, our Team Member Credo.
+ Commits to serving our residents and guests through our Principles of Service.

Your Specific Responsibilities:
This is a Career Service position as a Senior Public Health Nutritionist with the Department of Health in Hendry and Glades Counties (FDOH- Hendry and Glades) and is responsible for administering and coordinating activities related to breastfeeding support, education and promotion consistent with state and federal regulations (DHM 150-24). The imcumbent is expected to collaborate with community partners and programs within the Florida Department of Health. NUTRITION:

Documents services provided in accordance with State WIC Office documentation guidelines. Correctly identifies all high-risk clients, completing an individual high-risk/medical high-risk care plan using the SOAP format. As necessary, refers client to appropriate outside agency, documenting referral. Assigns appropriate food packages. Completes May conduct a group nutrition educaiton class. FL-WiSE System data entry ensuring to complete all required screens before the end of the day services are provided. As needed: Performs anthropometric measurements and hematological testing for WIC clients following DHM 150-24 rules and regulations. Determines client eligibility. Provides interactive newsletter contact. Adheres to all WIC regulations, policies and procedures set forth in DHM 150-24.
BREASTFEEDING:
Performs duties as the WIC Breastfeeding Coordinator. Obtains and maintains credentials as a CLC, to be designated as a breastfeeding expert. Acts as one of the lead contact persons for breastfeeding support and promotion activities. Refers WIC participants to appropriate WIC staff, comunnity agency, organization and/or health care provider. Assists Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Coordinator in recruiting, training, and mentoring WIC Breastfeeding Counselors. Provides Breastfeeding outreach services as assigned. Participates in monthly state Breasfeeding Coordinator conference calls. Participates in quarterly WIC Quality Assurance monitoring using monitoring tools. Accurately and promptly completes all administrative forms, including but not limited to timesheets, employee activity reports (EARS), and travel forms. Qualifications

Previous experience in food service or kitchen environment is preferred but not required.

Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies
Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 30 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods.
Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required based on State / County law.
Residency within the service area required
