Cleans kitchen surfaces and equipment according to schedules. Operates assembles, and disassembles, ,cleans, and delimes the dish machine, Cleans grease trap screen daily Cleans spills immediately. Demonstrates knowledge of proper infection control techniques. Including cleaning, storage, and food handling. Demonstrated knowledge of emergency and safety procedures. Completes incident and accident reports May prep salads, and desserts Empties trash after meal service Breaks down boxes before they are put into the dumpster. Sets tables in the dining room Attends meetings and in-services as required. Requirements: COMMUNICATION SKILLS/ English-Ability to speak, read, and understand spoken and written directions. Ability to respond to common inquiries from residents, and regulatory agencies. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Criminal background, and finger print verification needed before hire. Prior experience as dishwasher, or food server helpful PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the functions of this job.     Function: The Food Service Aid is responsible for the supervision of students during breakfast and lunch periods in the cafeteria, lavatories, and on school grounds that supports student-centered classrooms that promote discourse and collaboration. This position is responsible for assisting in collaboration with the school staff and the food service company staff in providing an orderly means of distributing meals. The Food Service Aide reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer with directives from the School Principal. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Provide supervision of children during lunch and/or breakfast periods. Ensure that trays are emptied properly into proper receptacles including recycling. Clean/sanitize tables between servings and at the conclusion of the breakfast and/or lunch periods. Spot clean the floor during and at the end of the breakfast and lunch periods. Responsible for the disposal of trash and cleaning of the cafeteria area. Minimize movement of students during lunch period by assisting them in obtaining straws, napkins, utensils, etc. While on playground duty, be sure to move about so that all areas of the playground are visually supervised. Maintains student confidentiality (e.g., student eligibility for free and reduced lunch, student account information, etc.) for the purpose of protecting student privacy. Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned and are consistent with this position. The ideal candidate will support food service operations, assist with meal preparation, and ensure the safety and sanitation of the dietary department. Candidates must have open availbility to work a variety of different shifts! See below to get an idea for how shifts will reflect on a daily/ weekly basis- Hours for coverage are 7AM-7PM. This role is responsible for assisting cooks with the preparation and service of meals and maintain a clean and safe work environment. The dietary aid is responsible for setting up trays, cleaning dietary and dishwashing areas and maintenance of dishes, pots and pans, and utensils, as well as stocking food and supplies as needed. Dietary aids are supervised by the cook and are expected to perform routine assignments independently. Responsibilities: Read and interpret meal tickets so the proper foods and condiments are put on each tray. Visually inspect each tray to ensure accuracy and thoroughness. Scrape, rack, wash, and sanitize soiled dishes. Inspect, unload and store clean dishes. Clean and set up food carts. Stock and maintain nourishment kitchen supplies. Maintain cleanliness of dishwasher and dietary work areas. Complete daily and scheduled cleaning duties in accordance with established policies and procedures. Responsibilities Job Summary The primary role of the Dietary Aid is to wash dishes, glassware, flatware, food preparation equipment and utensils. This position is also responsible for mopping floors and cleaning surfaces as required. The Dietary Aid is also responsible for appropriate use of facility supplies and equipment to ensure loss, waste, and fraud is minimized. Operation of commercial dishwashing equipment is necessary to perform required duties. Also responsible for preparing food to be served complying with all applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards following established food production programs and procedures.
