Qualifications Minimum of six months food service experience required (one year of nutrition or dietetic education may be considered in lieu of experience). High school diploma or GED. Customer service experience preferred. Food Handler's Certification preferred. Skills Ability to read, write, and speak in English. Ability to follow written and oral instructions. Capable of distinguishing colors and hearing sufficiently to safely complete job duties. Safe operation of standard equipment required for the position. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficient with computers and software programs necessary for the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Ability to communicate positively, effectively, and professionally; work calmly and respond courteously under pressure; collaborate and accept direction. Brief Description of Duties Lecturers are responsible for effective curriculum preparation and teaching of courses in alignment with our Department's vision and mission and the focus on applied research and serving multicultural populations, syllabus and accessibility compliance, review and grading of assignments and work, holding office hours, texts and readings, overall support of student learning and professional development, and working collaboratively with faculty and staff to promote student success.
