Food Service/Cook Under the supervision of the Child Nutrition Program Director, the Child Nutrition Lunch Aide works with the Kitchen Manager and other Child Nutrition staff to receive food and supplies, prepare food, transport meals as needed, operate dish machine and pot washing sinks, assist with inventory and storage, serve meals in accordance with standardized recipes and regulations, and provide exceptional customer service to students, staff, and visitors. Responsible for assisting and preparing food for the residents and assisting any residents that need help with their meals. The cook works in conjunction with the dietary manager to prepare meals. The cook will also assists in clean up, kitchen maintenance, and setting up and taking down the dining areas. Other job duties include delivering food to residents' rooms, preparing and serving snacks and taking inventory of food and kitchen supplies. Lifting, up to twenty-five pounds, on a regular basis is required. Occasional lifting and carrying of items up to fifty pounds is also required. Requires hearing to normal range and corrected vision. This position is an exempt position under the FLSA and does require overtime in order to accomplish those duties outlined and to complete projects.
