General Purpose The dietary aide assignments are determined by the needs basis on the activity of the shift. Maintains a high level of sanitation in the pot washing area. * Sets up counter, beverage system, coffee, grill, steam table, condiment station and serving line. * Cooks and serves grilled items, according to customer requests. * Follows proper cash handling procedures when working the cafeteria register * Ensures delivery of excellent customer service resulting in positive and improving patient satisfaction scores for department and Medical Center. * Portions, serves and replenishes dessert, pastries, salads, hot foods, etc. * Replenishes paper and silverware products. * Wraps, stores and dates excess food and places in appropriate refrigerators. Responsibilities Performs all duties related to sanitation of kitchen, dining and prep and storage areas. The employee is primarily responsible for the maintenance of sanitary conditions in the general kitchen area including but not limited to walls, floors and work surfaces.
