Additional Benefits for Maintenance Team Members: We offer an annual $400 tool stipend to support your success on the job. When responding to an on-call emergency, team members are guaranteed a minimum of 1 hour of paid time, even if the work takes less time.
OVERVIEW:
As a MaintenanceTechnician, you are responsible for the repair and upkeep of our apartment community. This includes, but is not limited to, providing exemplary service to the community's residents, timely completion of service requests, performing preventative maintenance and unit inspections/rehabilitation as scheduled by the Community Director.
JOB DUTIES:
Complete service requests, preventive maintenance, and unit rehabilitation as scheduled by the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Community Director.
Complete required property and unit inspections and ensure any follow-up work is completed as scheduled.
Provide quality and professional service to residents.
Ensure that all equipment, vehicles and shop areas are kept clean.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Any experience in maintenance, construction, a skilled trade, home repair, or as a maintenance tech would be highly desirable, but we will train and mentor the right individual for a rewarding career in property management!
Ability to frequently push or pull up to 50 lbs., occasionally lift up to 75 lbs., kneel, crouch, climb, crawl, and work in a variety of weather conditions.
Customer service skills
Ability to be in the on-call rotation

Respond to emergency situations in a timely manner.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment as required.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Respond to the technical needs of several local mixed-use commercial facilities.
Perform regular inspections of equipment and systems at several facilities.
Skilled with carpentry, tile, drywall, and painting.
Preventative maintenance of a wide variety of equipment. Ensure equipment operates at maximum efficiency.
Respond to emergency situations in a timely manner.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment as required.
Adhere to all safety and OSHA regulations.
Participate in in-house and off-site training as required.
Required Education and Experiences:
Must have completed or be in the process of completing an accredited College or Technical School program relating to the building trades.
Strong electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills.
Universal Refrigeration Certification preferred.
Can read and interpret blueprints.
General computer knowledge.
Can interact with the coworkers and the public in a professional manner.
Works with minimal supervision.
Primarily 1st shift. May be required to work occasional 2nd and 3rd shifts as required.
Able to work occasional holidays and weekends.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must have a reliable means of transportation.

MaintenanceTechnician
Location:
Sandhurst Apartments - Zanesville, OH
Scheduled Hours:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, with 24/7 on-call responsibility for after-hours emergencies.
Pay Rate:
$20-$25/hour (based on experience and qualifications), plus commissions, incentives, and a weekly $100 on-call bonus recognizing 24/7 availability.
Make an Impact
As the MaintenanceTechnician at Sandhurst Apartments, you'll play a key role in keeping our 120-unit community safe, comfortable, and well-maintained. This position carries full responsibility for after-hours emergencies, with a weekly on-call bonus recognizing your commitment and reliability. You'll handle a variety of maintenance tasks that make a direct difference in residents' daily lives.
Perform repairs and upkeep in HVAC, plumbing, appliance repair, electrical, carpentry, lighting, pool maintenance, grounds, and apartment turnovers
Complete resident work orders promptly while maintaining a high standard of quality and professionalism
Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, plumbing lines, appliances, and pool equipment
Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed with urgency and care
Maintain common areas, ensuring the property and amenities remain safe, clean, and well-kept
Bring Your Skills
If you enjoy variety, solving challenges, and making an impact, this role will put your skills to work every day.
2+ year of experience in multi-family residential maintenance
Hands-on HVAC experience preferred (EPA certification a plus)
Proficient in appliance repair including stoves, refrigerators, and laundry equipment
Knowledge of electrical, carpentry, apartment turnovers, grounds, lighting, and more
Strong communication and customer service skills with a professional attitude
Able to work independently, manage priorities, and maintain high-quality results
Detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable using smartphones and basic computer tools
Must own basic hand tools
Hold a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance
Willing to complete a drug and background check if offered the position
