This entry level/early career professional, product focused position tailors electronic and electrical systems for Cummins products. Owns problem resolution for moderately complex components, products, systems, subsystems or services with technical complexity and ambiguity increasing as experience is gained in the role. Provides independent execution of established work processes and systems, while still developing technology or product knowledge; engages with the improvement of systems and processes. Involves no direct management of people but could involve the coordination and direction of work amongst technicians and/or temporary student employees. RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Verification and Validation Management - Develops product systems validation plans from a variety of inputs to identify failure modes, while managing product risk and relative priority; negotiates product requirements against capability to guide project scope; evaluates analytical, simulation and physical test results to verify product capability and validate requirements; assesses legacy versus proposed system solution capabilities and produces recommendations with technical documentation to support product decisions.

Seeking a Staff Engineer to perform landfill construction quality assurance (CQA) and construction technician. This position may require travel and overnight stays including some weekends, depending on job site location. Most work is in Ohio. The Staff Engineer will start in the field, responsible for traveling to various solid waste facilities to perform on-site documentation/recording of daily activities, verifying the work contractors are doing is accurate, as well as soil testing to ensure it meets project specifications. * Supervise and complete construction quality assurance and construction quality control activities in several states, including the construction of landfill components and other environmental control systems.
* Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials (e.g., soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel).
* Communicate with project managers, engineering technicians, client representatives, and contractor representatives regarding the construction site, project requirements, and testing, observation, and inspection results.

As a Hardware Engineering Intern/Co-op for Rockwell Automation, you will have the opportunity to join a dynamic team developing the next generation of new automation control systems. Your Responsibilities:
Work on an agile team to design electrical circuits, develop test requirements and execute hardware verification test plans with traceability to product requirements, including board level functional testing, EMC/EMI, Safety Agencies (UL, ATEX, IECEX), Functional Safety (IEC 61508), and Environmental

Staff Engineer

Seeking a Staff Engineer to perform landfill construction quality assurance (CQA) and construction technician. This position may require travel and overnight stays including some weekends, depending on job site location. Most work is in Ohio. The Staff Engineer will start in the field, responsible for traveling to various solid waste facilities to perform on-site documentation/recording of daily activities, verifying the work contractors are doing is accurate, as well as soil testing to ensure it meets project specifications. This role can be trained and does not require prior experience. Must be comfortable living out of hotels for extended periods of time (not frequent, but occasionally expected). Will eventually move into more of an office-based role once the field work is mastered.
Responsibilities:
-Construction monitoring and documentation of construction activities at solid waste landfill facilities including field inspection and testing of soils and geosynthetic liners. On-site job training will be provided as necessary.
-Responsible for assuring overall compliance with all applicable project specifications and construction drawings.
-Supervise and complete construction quality assurance and construction quality control activities in several states, including the construction of landfill components and other environmental control systems.
-Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials (e.g., soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel).
-Communicate with project managers, engineering technicians, client representatives, and contractor representatives regarding the construction site, project requirements, and testing, observation, and inspection results.
-Transport material samples with associated identifying documentation to the laboratory for further testing and analysis.
-Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observations in written and digital reports for daily transmittal to the Weaver Project Manager.
-Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas.
-Adhere to strict safety standards.
-Under close supervision of higher-level technicians or staff professionals, assist on tasks and perform basic testing and observation duties.
-Provide clear documentation of findings and results.
-Communicate information to the Project Manager and discuss the accuracy of data in preparation for submittal.
-Submit documentation and communicate results as directed by the Project Manager.
-Progressively assume increased roles of training and responsibility in work assignments.
-Follow safety rules, practices, and other safety requirements for all projects.

Currently seeking a vibrant, self-motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team. This position is responsible for the completion of design efforts with minimal direction on a task basis and is responsible for the preparation and completion of electrical engineering designs that are responsive to project needs. Will coordinate and, in some cases, manage the preparation of design details, plans, drawings and reports within the assigned task areas. Must become familiar with the technical staff, methods, practices and procedures of the Company.
Primary Functions Include:
Participate in preparation of bid documents for all types of New Buildings, Existing Building Renovations and Upgrades, Pump Stations, Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrades, Roadway Lighting, and other Miscellaneous.
Utilize AutoCAD to draft electrical construction drawings, including Floor Plans, Site Plans, Equipment Details and Wiring Diagrams.
Coordinate with other engineering trades, including Architectural, Mechanical, Structural, and Process Engineering to ensure a complete and comprehensive Electrical design.
Perform site visits to investigate and record existing conditions.
Analyze existing and proposed electrical loads to size electrical services, feeders, and branch circuits.
Review project Instrumentation, Control, and Remote Monitoring requirements for individual projects; assist with the I&C design as needed.
Work toward keeping current tasks within schedule and budget to fit the needs of the project.
Provide data, as required, for cost estimating and secure preliminary equipment costs for review.
Investigate new methods and implement new ideas and/or procedures as may be advantageous to the Company and clients.
Perform independent studies and prepare reports of results and conclusions in a clear, concise manner.
Maintain and utilize working knowledge of accepted electrical engineering and instrumentation/control design standards and practices in the execution of design work that will meet the clients' needs and conform to Company standards.
Qualification:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
Professional Engineer License required.
Related work experience, including a minimum of 5 years as an Electrical Engineer required.
Working knowledge of the NEC required.

Applies standard practices and techniques in specific situations, adjusts and correlates data, recognizes discrepancies in results, and follows operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes. Responsible for timely and accurate completion of engineering tasks assigned by the Supervising Engineer or Project Manager.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. EIT Certification is desirable.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Project Manager in the technical, administrative, budgetary, and schedule implementation of assigned projects, as well as in generating and maintaining project schedules.
Communicate with Customers concerning project business.
Domestic travel is required to meet with Customers and to visit job sites to ensure successful project implementation.
Assist the Project Manager in keeping project costs within budget. Report to management on project, budget, and schedule status.
Prepare estimates for proposed projects.
Assist with presentations to existing or future Customers which would aid in obtaining future business.
May supervise Drafters, Designers, or Technicians as assigned by Supervising Engineer or Project Manager.
Qualifications:
Uses Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) tools to prepare models and drawings according to project requirements, Customer Standards, and Company Standards.
Familiar with and able to use Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams) and design software specific to their task assignments.
Able to prepare bills of material for pipe, fittings, instruments, valves, valve operators, fire and gas detection, and lighting.
Able to prepare technical bid summaries for valves, operators, instruments engineered equipment and buildings, and similar items.
Able to review Vendor approval drawings for conformance with specifications.
Able to prepare routine project calculations under the supervision of the project's discipline lead engineer (examples: pipe wall, pipe pressure drops and velocity, foundation footing, grating span, wire sizing, and conduit sizing).
Expectation of frequent direction on above items, review of work product, and rework.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required. An advanced degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
Hands-on experience using RF test equipment (signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers).
Programming capability in C, VBA, Python, or Matlab preferred.
Experience in ensuring design meets set requirements for performance, schedule, and cost.
Have good interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills to maintain effective working relationships as part of a technical team in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Office, and MS PowerPoint.
CITIZENSHIP/SECURITY CLEARANCE:
U.S. Citizenship required. Eligible to obtain and/or maintain a Secret security clearance. Special Access Program experience preferred.
