Dr. Harrick Vin is a TCS Fellow and Chief Services Innovation Officer for Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). He is also a Fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering. Over the past 30 years, Harrick has been involved in developing novel solutions in variety of areas in computing, including: one of the first video-over-IP desktop conferencing and collaboration system (1989); one of the first digital video-on-demand server (1991); Quality-of-Service-aware Linux kernel (1996); Internet-scale distributed caching solution (1998); web-based content syndication and personalization solution (1999); a digital media entertainment gateway for homes (2002); a programming environment for designing high-throughput systems using multi-core multi-threaded processor architectures (2005); an intelligent enterprise IT infrastructure transformation planning and migration solution (2008); a predictive analytics solution for enterprise IT (2011); and ignio™, the world’s first cognitive automation product for enterprises (2015). These innovations led to three venture-backed startups in the US, and Digitate, a Tata Consultancy Services Venture. Harrick has authored more than 125 papers in leading international journals and conferences, as well as filed for 45 patents. Harrick is a recipient of many awards, and has served on the Editorial Board of several academic journals, and as the program chairperson and a member of technical program committee for many international conferences.

Over 20 years of experience with understanding of multiple technologies across industry domains. Experience in several niche competencies such as instrumenting IT systems for availability and performance, enterprise architecture and design, and workload management.

Current focus area is to define AI/ML driven cognitive automation strategy to transform enterprise IT Operations' service delivery model with objectives to transform user experience along with improved efficiency and service efficacy.

Primary responsibilities;

- Provide leadership bandwidth for technology discussions with senior customer executives and CxOs in the region

- Sponsoring pursuits in strategic TCS customers

- Be a senior trusted advisor to small set of model ignio customers and critical pursuits in the Geography

- Work closely with marketing and contribute to analyst & customer forums - to bring in increased mind share

- Work closely with the product management and engineering functions to provide feedback and inputs from the market , domain and strategic customers.
