- Demonstrates the ability to adjust technique so that patient receives the lowest possible dose of ionizing radiation and that image quality is maintained.
- Reports problems regarding malfunctioning equipment to supervisor or service provider, so that problem can be corrected in a timely manner.

- Required documentation is concise, legible and includes precise terminology.
- Reads email each day scheduled to work and follows through with assignment.

- Consistently produces acceptable images, as evidenced by radiologist feedback and quality audits, with a first time acceptance rate.
- Ensures that equipment is fully operational prior to each use, by checking for proper calibration and operating deficiencies.
- Sends all studies to PACS immediately after completion, prints CD's as needed.
- Studies that have been reported after hours by teleradiography are printed and scanned into PACS, if applicable.
- Completes all studies in RIS before completing in PACS.
- Prints completed log sheet from teleradiography and submits to Radiologist, if applicable
- Performs and maintains quality control logs for probe disinfection and follows infection control policies Operations
- Restocks linens and supplies, and maintains the department in clean and orderly condition.
- Transports patients, positions patients, and helps them on and off procedure table.
- Performs patient charging activities on the day the service is rendered.

WHAT'S REQUIRED?

Saint Agnes Medical Providers (SAMP) and Saint Agnes Medical Center (SAMC) have an excellent employment opportunity for a full-time OBED Hospitalist in Fresno, California.
The OB/GYN Hospitalist Services will be comprised of two OB/GYN physicians each providing 24-hour in-hospital coverage. This coverage may include 12-hour or 24-hour shifts, depending on scheduling needs. Specific duties and responsibilities will be assigned to each physician role. By necessity, to meet the patient coverage needs, some of the duties and responsibilities may overlap on any given shift. It is understood that the two physicians will support and back-up each other as needed. OBGYN Hospitalists supervise Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine residents who rotate through the OB/GYN department. Residents have been found to be helpful in supporting the department even as they learn.
Assignment to either the OB 1 (OB ED) role or the OB 2 (OB Hospitalist/GYN) may vary based on scheduling needs during any given scheduling period.
Key Responsibilities (Both Positions)
OB 1 (OB ED)
Primary responsibility is coverage of the OB Emergency Department.
Triage all patients who present to the OB ED, including 'unassigned' and 'assigned' patients.
If an 'assigned' patient requires hospital admission, the patient will be admitted by the assigned provider group.
Continue to provide care and manage 'unassigned' OB patients admitted for labor, other obstetrical indications, or to the antepartum unit through delivery, postpartum, and discharge.
Assist in cesarean sections for the OB 2 provider and other community OB/GYN physicians.
Respond to OB Codes or OB Emergencies throughout the hospital, including the Main ED.
Provide stabilization support while primary OB/GYN is en route.
Provide 'stand-by' services for other OB/GYNs en route for delivery.
Provide back-up coverage for GYN cases if OB 2 is unavailable due to immediate patient care.
OB 2 (OB Hospitalist/GYN)
Primary responsibility is to provide OB Hospitalist services for assigned patients of the SAMP OB/GYN group.
Provide coverage and management for 'unassigned' GYN patients.
Continue care for admitted GYN patients until discharge.
Coordinate with OB 1 physician if a GYN surgical assistant is needed.
If a GYN patient presents to the Main ED or a consult is requested and the patient has an established OB/GYN physician with SAMC privileges, care is provided by the assigned group.
Assist in cesarean sections for OB 1 physician.
Provide back-up to OB 1 provider in the OB ED if needed.
Qualifications
MD or DO degree with board certification (or eligibility) in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Active state medical license and hospital privileges.
Advanced training in obstetric emergencies and surgical procedures.

Range is $138 to $142
per hour.
