Job Summary and Responsibilities
Position Summary:
Ensures the execution of the hospital's strategy, management, financial performance and oversight of all operational components of the two hospitals in accordance and in
alignment with Dignity Health. Plans and implements new business strategies and manages relationships with physicians and external partners considering health care industry trends in a rapidly changing and highly regulated market.
Principle Duties and Accountabilities:
● Directs and oversees a portfolio of healthcare assets and demonstrates a solid understanding of different service lines and delivery models within the market. Plans and implements new businesses using different business models and strategic relationships with external partners and physicians. Understands attributes that create successful organizations i.e. legal, structural, economic, and employment models
● Develops and executes strategy for each line of business/service within market area from the perspective of what makes it a viable enterprise and recognizes those elements that require modification and/or expertise to existing local processes and structure to ensure success.
● Facilitates and reinforces through business processes and performance measures an institutional mindset for clinical innovation as an on-going process to look at clinical practices in order to reduce unnecessary variations to improve clinical outcomes and reduce costs.
● Develops key service lines, leveraging clinical program tools and service line support/data, implementing outpatient strategy, and identifying market scale opportunities (e.g., recruiting, education) across assigned service areas.
Job Requirements
Experience:
● Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in a related field.
● Minimum of five (5) years of direct management experience.
● Progressively senior-executive healthcare experience within a complex, multi-site, multi-area health care organization including acute-care hospital operations is required.
Education:
● Bachelors degree required.
● A masters degree in healthcare administration or business management or a combination of education (or an equivalent combination of education and/or additional job-related experience) is required.

The Per Diem Occupational Therapist reports to the Clinical Supervisor and provides both direct and indirect patient care services. The Per Diem Occupational Therapist works primarily with adult and geriatric patients from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. The Per Diem Occupational Therapist with specific pediatric competencies and clinical experience may also work with infants, children and/or adolescents.
Under general direction and upon receipt of written referrals from licensed, approved providers, the Per Diem Occupational Therapist plans and administers a full range of occupational therapy services for patients with a variety of physical and cognitive impairments and disabilities. Services include patient evaluations using various physical, cognitive and visual/perceptual tests and measurements, establishment of therapeutic intervention goals and development of therapeutic intervention programs, and implementation of therapeutic intervention plans utilizing occupational therapy techniques.
The Per Diem Occupational Therapist maintains all applicable patient records related to the delivery of patient care services. While performing job duties, the Per Diem Occupational Therapist may also supervise support personnel including Rehabilitation Aides as well as Occupational Therapist students and clinical fellows. As a member of the clinical care team, the Per Diem Occupational Therapist also participates in compliance, quality, safety, and process improvement initiatives in the department and the hospital.
The Per Diem Therapist minimum work requirement is two (2) weekend day shifts per month, and one (1) major and one (1) minor Winter UC Holiday (i.e., Thanksgiving/Day After, Dec24/25, Dec 31/Jan 1).

Responsible for implementing CommonSpirit Health and Facilities Management Energy and Infrastructure strategic initiatives throughout the designated division. The position is responsible for assisting hospital Facility Directors meet standards, achieving technical service delivery excellence, meeting financial objectives, attaining high customer satisfaction, and meeting CommonSpirit Health's Facilities Management's mission.
The Market Director, Facility Management partners with Regional and Market leadership and hospital administration to provide technical assistance and monthly operations reporting to improve long term facility sustainability.
The Market Director, Facility Management, carries out his/her duties by adhering to the highest standards of ethical and moral conduct, acts in the best interest of CommonSpirit Health and fully supports CommonSpirit Health's Mission, Philosophy, and core values.
This position reports directly to the Regional Director, Facility Management and interfaces with Hospital Executives and facility management teams, Market leadership, and CommonSpirit Health Legal Counsel, as needed, for all Facilities related projects, capital infrastructure projects, and special projects as assigned.
Oversees operations of the assigned area for facility management group/sites by:
● Conducts department head visits and meetings
● Ensures that reports are delivered in a timely manner
● Providing a working environment that meets all regulatory compliance
● Manages to established market and hospital budgets
● Verifies and promotes appropriate use of staff, materials, supplies and vendors
● Inspects current records of all maintenance procedures to assure they are kept as required to meet all applicable codes and standards; standardizes record keeping.
● Assures cost effective measures, inventory control, and standards of performance and productivity are
established to meet program requirements.
● Assures direct reports meet all financial performance goals of areas managed.
● Drives financial improvements where opportunity exists.
● Increasing GPO contract compliance and consolidating service contracts at the division level
Oversees the recruitment, training and development of management and staff that includes:
● Establishes an environment that attracts and develops talented leaders
● Performs monthly touch base meeting and annual performance review evaluations
● Provides mentoring, coaching support and other personal growth opportunities for facility management leaders.
● Manages a comprehensive, ongoing communication plan with staff, leadership, and customers.
● Fosters and maintains positive working relationships with area, market, and senior hospital administration and
all other constituents and customers.
● Networks with peers to gain innovative ideas and sourcing of information. Coordinates with other facility
management personnel within the assigned area
● In collaboration with Market Facilities leadership, assist with implementing continuous improvement

Job Requirements
● Significant experience 7 years in healthcare facilities management primarily in a leadership capacity
● Demonstrated success with leading diverse teams to develop and monitor Facilities Management services tomeet organizational goals and objectives.
● Experience and knowledge of construction project phasing and disruption
in an acute healthcare environment including OSHPD requirements.
● Thorough understanding of The Joint Commission - Environment of Care, CMS, Title 22 California Administrative Code, NFPA, OHSA, Safety Management, Bio-Hazardous Waste and Hazardous Materials Management and Waste.
● Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external constituencies and all organizational levels, using excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
● Working knowledge of the hospital mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, and associated construction drawings with an ability to recognize energy conservation measures that are specifically applicable for healthcare.
