The management is very degrading and disrespecting. Very hostile environment to work.

weekly pay, being able to connect with customers
Department management's lack of support and acknowledgment of work done.
Fairly decent schedule

No schedule flexibility, Treated poorly, Management doesn't care about associates, Sales quota can drop your pay, Commission is paid as a draw against commission and you can make negative commission as well as get your pay dropped

Management is very shallow and refuses to listen to their employees. Dress code is only enforced if you dress conservatively. The "fashionistas" can wear whatever they want want (to include immodest clothing) and nothing is said/done. Managers remind employees often that they are replaceable.
Benefits are awful and very expensive. The 401k only lets you invest in Dillard's stock.

The salary is good for retail... if you can keep it.
Everything. Sales per hour is always set too high. Too many markdowns and freight at one time. Managemet does not respect the people they manage. Pay cuts are always just around the corner.
