American Training is seeking full-time and part-time Direct Support Professional ( Community Support Colleague) for our Specialized Housing locations in Merrimack Valley. This person provides direct care and affirms the dignity of all Guests and Residents by supporting their right to participate in their communities as productive workers, valued neighbors and friends. This candidate facilitates contacts and linkages in the community to strengthen goals outlined in the Individual Service Plan. They provide support to Residents in the maintenance of their homes including such tasks as: cooking meals, shopping, cleaning and laundry, and supports, encourage and ensure that personal preferences, goals and aspirations are a part of every Resident's lives on a daily basis. (All shifts available 7am-3pm, 3-11pm or 11pm-9am).

- At least one year of experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
- Basic computer skills and strong organization and communication skills.
- Use the highest standard of ethical conduct at all times, this includes respecting the confidentiality of Colleagues and Residents.
- Positively promote the image of Guests with Developmental Disabilities and American Training, Inc.
- A valid driver's license, the use of a personal vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage and a satisfactory CORI are required.
- Frequent walking, standing and driving. Must be able to lift 40 pounds. Must be able to sustain in a fast paced environment with a high energy level. Must be able to physically implement First Aid/CPR to Guests in response to an emergency situation and or the implementation of a Treatment Plan.

Pay & Benefits:
We offer a wage of $15.50/hour—**
plus a bonus of $1.50/hr for every hour worked until 12/31/22
**- $0.75 wage differential for Medication Administration Program (MAP) certification.
