ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Implement programming within the established guidelines.
Nurture children through purposeful programming to build achievement, belonging and relationships.
Supervise the children, classroom, and all activities. Follows all procedures and standards.
Make ongoing, systematic observations and evaluations of each child.
Cultivate positive relationships, conduct parent conferences, and maintain effective communication with parents.
Maintains program site and equipment.
Maintains required program records.
Attends and participates in family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and staff training.
Must exemplify appropriate behavior and act as a role model for participants showing the core values of the YMCA: Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.
Performs other duties, as necessary, to assure excellent operation of the YMCA youth development programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 18 years of age

CPR/First Aid/AED, Bloodborne Pathogens certification, Mandatory Reporter/Child Abuse Prevention certifications, and other required trainings within 30/60/90 days of hire date.
Previous experience working with children in a developmental setting preferred.

YSS Residential Addiction Treatment provides a successful, individualized, and evidence-based recovery program for youth ages 12 to 18 in a safe, homelike atmosphere. As a Residential Overnight Specialist, you will supervise and care for residential participants during the overnight and morning hours while providing an atmosphere of mutual respect and trust. This position is one of supervision rather than counseling or therapy. Responsibilities include:
Supervise participants during the evening, night, and early morning relating to participants in a caring, supportive and therapeutic manner.
Take an active interest in the participants and be aware of individuals presenting problems.
Enforce program rules and restrictions consistently, fairly, and firmly.
Report any non-authorized absences during the night, in accordance with program policy and procedure.
Provide crisis intervention when needed and alert on-call staff of a medical or counseling emergency.
Perform bed checks every 15 30 minutes until the participants are asleep, and then hourly.
Record client behaviors, problems, observations, or events.
Make sure that participants receive necessary medical attention, dispense medicine, and complete any required documentation.
Supervise breakfast preparation for participants, and oversees morning schedule of participants, including wake-up and chores, and showers.
Transport participants as needed.
Give feedback to other team members concerning participants' overall nighttime behavior.

Behavior Technician will complete a training program set by the clinical team to prepare the employee to become a Registered Behavior Technician. Once this exam is passed you will have the responsibilities listed below:
Directly implementing skill acquisition and behavior intervention plans written by a supervising BCBA
Collecting accurate data for all treatment plans and behavior programs, which is then provided to the BCBA for analysis
Serves in a directcare role, consulting the BCBA regularly for additional support, training, and supervision
Adjusts interventions and/or intervention methods as instructed by the supervising BCBA when necessary
Responsible for maintaining thorough knowledge and understanding of each intervention and plan in place for each client on his/her caseload and those on the assigned team
Maintains RBT credentials by completing the RBT Competency Assessment annually as per BACB guidelines

What You'll Do:

Due to continued growth and expansion of our services, we are adding new positions to our team. These roles are not replacements - they reflect our commitment to reaching more individuals and increasing our impact in the community.
The Float supports the overnight staff in our Crisis Stabilization and Residential Addiction Treatment programs. During the evening, overnight, and morning hours, this position is responsible for ensuring the security of all residential buildings and assisting with the supervision and care of residential clients. This position must remain awake for their entire shift. Responsibilities include:
Float as scheduled among the Crisis Stabilization & Residential Treatment programs to provide support to overnight staff and ensure security of the facilities.
Walk from facility to facility every 15-20 minutes to complete facility checks and staff check-ins. This will sometimes require being outside in extreme weather conditions.
Complete time stamp at each location during each visit.
Complete sweep of interior of each facility, ensuring the doors and windows are locked.
Observe and identify potential security and safety risks or undesirable conditions.
Communicate with overnight staff at each facility to identify necessary tasks and security concerns.
Complete checks of the outside of each facility three times during each shift.
Assist in oversight of the residents during the late night and early morning. Relates to residents in a caring, supportive, and therapeutic manner.
Take an active interest in each resident and is aware of individual presenting problems, behaviors, and personalities.
Determine appropriate use of any additional apparatus used in rooms at night: air conditioners, fans, etc.
Enforce program rules and restrictions consistently, fairly, and firmly.
Immediately report any non-authorized absences/elopements during the night in accordance with program policy and procedure.
Assist Overnight Specialists in providing crisis intervention when needed and alert on-call staff of a medical or counseling emergency.
Assist Overnight Specialists with bed checks per program standard. Record all bed checks by using the time clock.
Assist Overnight Specialists in overseeing morning schedule for clients, including wake-up, breakfast, showers, and morning schedule.
Assist with filing or other paperwork as requested.
May assist in providing for the nightly maintenance of the house and assuring that safe living conditions are provided in compliance with fire, safety, and health regulations.
Complete facility laundry such as towels, linens, kitchen towels, etc., nightly. Vacuuming and dusting offices and emptying office trash when necessary.
Communicate with other overnight staff regarding household chores done utilizing the checklists at each facility. Reporting any needed maintenance or repairs of facility.
Complete daily checks of each facility's vehicles and fuel them or request service by Facility supervisor when necessary.
Attend required meetings: Individual supervision, Overnight Specialist, Staff in-service trainings, etc.
