Requirements
Responsibilities and duties include, but
are not limited to:
Assisting with activities of daily living such as preparing meals and assisting with personal hygiene, all while maintaining everyone's respect and dignity
Actively working with the individuals we serve to help them achieve their personal goals and record their progress
Medication administration and documentation
Responding to crisis situations responsibly and appropriately
Ensuring that our individuals maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home
Safely operating all types of agency vehicles (including handicapped accessible vans)
Completing shift notes in an electronic health record system
Working with your manager to improve your skills and advocate for the individuals we serve
Qualifications and Essential Functions:
High school diploma (or equivalent)
Valid unrestricted driver's license from your state of residency
The ability to lift and transfer at least 50 pounds
The ability to sit, bend, squat, reach, and physically pursue clients on foot for several hours at a time
Must be able to read, write and verbally communicate in English with Individuals, their families and staff (at all levels)
Basic computer literacy
The ability to gain trust, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to HIPAA regulations
Must be at least 18 years of age or older
Prefer that you possess a high school diploma or GED
Work well in teams and are open to learning new skills
Have the ability and willingness to work weekends
