Job Summary
Odyssey House Detox Program is currently looking for a full-time Licensed/Licensed-Eligible Social Worker or Counselor. The schedule is M-F 8am to 5pm, rotating holidays and weekends as needed. The Counselor will provide specialized services for the assigned caseload, provide core and ancillary group therapies weekly, individual counseling and when appropriate, family therapy. The Counselor has the main responsibility of maintaining communication with the referral source, court systems, and other involved human service providers as related to the client's ongoing treatment and discharge planning. The Counselor is responsible for working within the multidisciplinary team to develop treatment planning, treatment case reviews, and all written documentation as required by the agency, state and federal courts, and all funding sources.
Responsibilities and Duties
It is the duty and responsibility of the Counselor to:
provide Clinical services to assigned clients; conduct weekly group therapies, individual counseling and/or family therapy as outlined in treatment plans; co-lead group therapies; conduct family assessments/therapy;
function as a liaison to outside agencies, participate in case planning conferences, and treatment meetings and, when necessary, attend court hearings and represent the agency and client(s);
maintain contact with and is available to Agency personnel, client's drug court officer, and family members regarding client's progress, problems and crises;
maintain clinical case file for each client to include: assessments, Individual Treatment Plans,
Case notes, and discharge summaries;
apply ASAM Criteria to treatment planning;
maximize units of services and maintain contract units of service by working with clients to stay engaged in treatment;
provide crisis management when indicated by client need;
assist with the planning and organization of therapeutic client actives both at and outside of the facility;
ensure all written reports are up-to-date in case file;
ensure completion of electronic medical record documentation;
attend staff and other meetings;
attend regularly scheduled in-service training;
participate in quarterly training with staff;
complete all Incident Reports prior to the end of scheduled shift as required by Incident Policy and Procedure;
adhere to all Louisiana Department of Health and Agency contract requirements;
maintain COA standards and participate in COA site audits;
collaborate with other departments;
work with Bayou Health providers for initial authorization and concurrent authorizations;
ensure that all sign in sheets are printed for group and all groups are batched for billing; and
perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum qualifications include the following:
Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work or Counseling
A valid Louisiana State issued license in either counseling or social work
At least 1 year of substance use disorder treatment modalities (emphasis on Minnesota Model) and DSM-V experience
Excellent communication skills

Completes documentation and tracking timely and accurately.
3. Monitors and reports on data to ensure compliance with all applicable guidelines and regulations, including Imagine! Policies and Procedures.
Ensures quality service delivery, meeting the guidelines set forth in Community Services quality standards, as well as follows schedules, information sheets, and plans.
Completes all required training, including annual refreshers, in the appropriate timeframe.
Reports all behavioral incidents, medical emergencies, and/or significant changes in medical condition to supervisor, and completes all related paperwork in a timely manner.
Implement Individual Treatment/Behavior Plans developed by Behavior Therapists and/or BCBAs
and implements behavior intervention strategies as directed by the Behavior Therapist or BCBA
Collect data when working with some individuals
Proactively communicate any questions or concerns to the Behavior Therapist or BCBA

FUNCTION: This position has the responsibilities of being the primary staff for clients. As such the directcare staff person is responsible for providing the prescribe program of Active Treatment to each client based on the Individual Plan-of-Care. This employee provides the actual training, and also provides the day to day supervision, guidance, and support to clients, which may be required to facilitate each client's individual learning and development. This employee works under the direction of the Program Director.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a high school diploma or a GED certificate. Additionally, persons must be at least 23 years of age, but no person shall be employed who is less than 18 years of age.
An employee who fills this position must participate in all training, must work when assigned to work by the Home Manager and or Program Director, and must follow the rules and regulations of LHRC. Additionally, directcare staff persons must follow all directions, procedures, and guidelines for the provision of individual program of clients.

Supervision and Responsibility · Works under general supervision of Colony Director, Supervisor, or senior animal care staff. · Does not normally supervise anyone but may serve as group leader. · May train new employees, interns, and volunteers. · Project Leader - oversee and direct others in maintaining specific project area (locks, tools, signs, etc.) · May be asked to train new animal care staff in organizational procedures, such as safety training and lock-checking. · Knowledgeable about variety of field's concepts, practices, and procedures. · Relies on pre-established guidelines and experience to plan and accomplish goals. · Exercises judgment to make recommendations for improvement. Working Conditions 1. This work will require bending, carrying, kneeling, lifting, listening, pulling, pushing, reading, speaking, squatting, standing, stooping, stretching, walking, watching, and writing. 2. Must be steady on feet due to risk of working with unpredictable, dangerous and strong animals. 3. Must be able to routinely lift and carry 50lbs for short distances. 4. Must be able to assist in lifting chimpanzees (up to 75lbs). 5. Duties may require driving Chimp Haven vehicles. Must have a valid driver's license and meet Chimp Haven's motor vehicle operating standards. 6. Work may involve considerable outdoor work in various weather conditions. 7. Potential exists for animal bites and scratches. 8. Potential exposure to unpleasant odors, animal wastes, animal tissues and body fluids, toxic chemicals, zoonotic diseases (tuberculosis, shigella, etc.) infectious agents (Hepatitis B, C, HIV, etc.) 9. Participation in a medical monitoring and surveillance program that includes hepatitis B and other inoculations is required. 10. Weekend, holiday, and night work may be necessary. 11. Safety training, equipment, clothing, and supplies will be provided.
Education and Experience Required
High School diploma or GED required.
Must be able to read and follow written and verbal instructions and write legibly and accurately.
No prior animal experience required, but must have aptitude for the care and well-being of animals.

Job Summary:
Holy Angels Residential Facility is in search of a DSW/DSP Direct Service Professional from 2:45pm to 11:15 pm to provide care and assist with daily living skills for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Specific Skills and Responsibilities
Supervise, assist, and train resident in all activities of daily living, including but not limited to, personal hygiene skills, clothing care
skills, social skills, leisure skills, care of personal space, dining skills, toileting, and appropriate behavior skills
Provide continuous active treatment for residents
Accurately complete all assigned documentation including but not limited to, formal and service objectives, behavior incident
reports, accident/incident documentation, medical related documentation
All documentation put in computer system
Report any issues or sign/symptoms of resident illness to nurse and supervisor
Provide additional services which may be assigned as part of the job such as laundry, dining room duty, or any other reasonable
requests made by supervisor deemed necessary for resident care or as part of the job
Requires daily computer use
Qualifications:
Must be able to take the CMA class as REQUIRED for all DSPs (class may be outside your shift) Pay increase once certification is
obtained
Must maintain a current and valid drivers license to drive vehicles
