About the Company
The Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider (CC APP) team at UCSF provides expert care in the adult intensive care units at UCSF Health. The CC APPs are an element of the interdisciplinary critical care team that includes attending physicians, physicians in training, pharmacists, registered nurses, rehabilitation therapists, and UCSF students. The CC APPs provide care in all of the adult intensive care units including Cardiac, Neurologic, Medical, and Surgical intensive care units. These units provide care for patients undergoing cardiac surgery, organ transplantation, thoracic surgery, orthopedic surgery, neurosurgical surgery, general surgery, or patients requiring complex medical management. The CC APP team collaborates with the UCSF School of Nursing and supports the UCSF Surgical and Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship. The CC APP group is active in various quality improvement, cost reduction, and professional development projects.
About the Role
The adult Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider Supervisor supervises, coordinates, and administers the practice of advanced practice professionals (APP), including nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Ensures quality of care and serves as a role model, expert clinician, and mentor. Assists with the administration and management of personnel, fiscal, and material resources. The adult Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider Supervisor provides leadership to advanced practice providers in adult critical care and supports the adult Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider Manager. The primary managerial responsibility of the supervisor is to provide professional support in the Critical Care APP department. The primary clinical responsibility is to provide expert level critical care clinical services to patients and families in the adult intensive care units at UCSF Health.

The primary responsibility of the adult Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider Supervisor is the direct application of expertise in the adult intensive care units at UCSF Health within the divisions of Critical Care Medicine. The individual will assume full responsibility for adult Critical Care APP clinical services in the absence of the manager. Receives predetermined work assignments that are subject to a moderate level of control and review.
Qualifications
Min 1 year experience in a supervisor, or leadership role.
4-6 years of recent experience as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant in adult critical care.
Responsible for understanding and communicating an advanced knowledge of national, state, and local educational and legislative issues affecting advanced practice providers.
Demonstrated knowledge of state and national regulatory requirements.
Ability to gather clinical information, develop differential diagnoses, and create problem lists independently.
Competent to direct patient management and lead care team.
Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise a team and to manage the complex workflow and competing priorities involved with providing quality care as an Advanced Practitioner.
Solid knowledge of the clinical and operational issues for nurse practitioners performing advanced-practice nursing within departments and specialty areas, including evaluation, testing, diagnosis, and treatment, as well as patient-care concepts, policies, outcomes measurement, quality standards, ethics issues, quality improvement, and continuing staff education and professional development.
Strong knowledge of human resources management policies, with the ability to train, monitor, evaluate, and document staff issues and performance, and to participate in decision-making on human resources matters.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to quickly analyze problems, determine appropriate level of intervention, and develop and apply effective solutions.
Advanced interpersonal skills for effective collaborations with all levels of clinical staff and management, consultants, researchers, and outside agencies.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to train and mentor subordinates, convey complex clinical and technical information in a clear and concise manner, and to prepare and present a variety of reports, documentation, analyses, and project proposals.
Required Skills
Related healthcare management or Nurse Practitioner III or Senior Physician Assistant experience in a highly matrixed healthcare organization.
Knowledge of clinical and administrative software and specialized applications and data management systems used by advanced practice providers in providing advanced-practice care, research, documentation, and employee supervision.
Preferred Skills
For PA candidates: Completion of a recognized graduate master's degree program as a physician assistant.

Pay range and compensation package
The salary range for this position is $138,400 - $335,800 (Annual Rate). The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. Duties & Responsibilities
Conducts 100% of scheduled sessions, unless time-off has been granted or the parents of the client have communicated to the clinical team that they would not like for the hours to be provided.
Primarily responsible for conducting subbing sessions for other clients to sustain the productivity margin if a session is cancelled by the family. Subbing sessions will fall on Saturdays and within the employee's availability.

Implements individualized treatment goals and Behavioral Intervention Plans in response to the direction provided by the Clinical Director and Senior Clinical Leader/Clinical Leader and/or other clinical staff in order to improve the behavior and skill acquisition of clients diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Travels to Center, Home, and other community settings to deliver services.
Subbing sessions will primarily take place in the regional centers

Participates in regular meetings and promptly communicates with Clinical Leaders/Clinical Directors via email and phone, regarding Treatment Plans and Behavioral Intervention Plans, family concerns and questions.

Position Overview
The Relief Residential Counselor provides support and counseling services to an adult population with psychiatric, substance abuse and/or HIV-AIDS related disabilities. Relief Residential Counselors advocate for and respond to clients' treatment and rehabilitation needs. All agency services are provided from the philosophy of social rehabilitation, which integrates teaching daily living skills in a safe and healthy environment.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Perform intake interviews and assist with client treatment plan development, implementation and discharge planning.
Assess the clinical needs of resident clients.
Evaluate clients for potential crisis situations and determine appropriate intervention.
Conduct individual and group counseling sessions as assigned.
Monitor and document clients' progress toward achievement of individual goals.
Record clinical notes and hourly rounds to meet Medi-Cal standards and licensure requirements.
Maintain shift coverage and primary supervision and support of residential clients.

Minimum Qualifications

Job Description
Job Title: Home Dialysis Care Giver (NxStage Experience Preferred) Schedule: 4 days per week Compensation: Competitive - based on experience About the Role We are seeking an experienced and dependable dialysis-trained professional to support an elderly gentleman who completes his dialysis treatments in his private home. This is not a facility or multi-location role. You will be the primary support person for one patient, four days a week, helping him maintain safety, comfort, and stability during each treatment.
The patient uses the NxStage home hemodialysis machine, and we are looking for someone who is already familiar with dialysis equipment, cannulation, and treatment protocols - or someone with strong dialysis experience who is confident transitioning into the home-care environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Set up, operate, and monitor the NxStage home dialysis system during each treatment session
• Ensure adherence to dialysis protocols, sterile technique, and infection-prevention standards
• Observe and document vital signs and treatment responses
• Troubleshoot machine issues and escalate clinical concerns appropriately
• Maintain a clean, organized treatment area within the home
• Provide calm, compassionate support and companionship during treatment
What We're Looking For
• Experience with home hemodialysis or in-center hemodialysis (NxStage strongly preferred)
• Competence in cannulation and dialysis machine operation
• Reliability, professionalism, and strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a private home

Position SUMMARY :
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for providing individualized support and training to adults with developmental disabilities in their own homes and communities. DSPs promote independence, inclusion, safety, and quality of life in accordance with Title 17 regulations, agency policies, and person-centered principles outlined in each participants Individual Program Plan (IPP) and Individual Service Plan (ISP).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist participants with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as cooking, cleaning, hygiene, and shopping.
Document daily services and progress notes accurately and timely in accordance with agency and Regional Center requirements.
Encourage skill-building and self-determination through consistent coaching and positive reinforcement.
Follow agency policies for medication assistance (if applicable), emergency preparedness, and safety procedures.
Implement ISP goals designed to promote independence in areas such as communication, self-advocacy, budgeting, recreation, and transportation, etc.
Participate in ongoing trainings, supervision, and staff meetings as required by Title 17 and agency policy.
Report special incidents, behavioral concerns, and changes in participant condition immediately to the supervisor.
Support participants in maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy living environment.
Support participants with scheduling and attending medical appointments, classes, and community activities.
Uphold participant rights, dignity, privacy, and confidentiality as outlined in Title 17 and HIPAA.

Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or GED required; some college or relevant coursework preferred.
At least 6 months experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
Valid California drivers license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation.
Ability to clear DOJ/FBI background check, TB test, and any other licensing requirements.
Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).
Must have a working cell phone and/or tablet for use of Quick Solve Plus Mobile APP
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to engage in de-escalation techniques during a crisis experienced by the participant.
Ability to maintain professional boundaries and manage challenging behaviors calmly.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
Ability to stand, walk, or drive for extended periods.
