Qualifications
EDUCATION
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Completion of Certified Nurse Anesthetist Training Program Graduate of a Nurse Anesthesia Educational Program accredited by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetist Council on accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Programs. Current State of Connecticut Nursing License, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure in the State of Connecticut.
EXPERIENCE
Prefer clinical working experience as a CRNA within the given specialty/service line recommended, but none required. APRNs, PAs, CRNAs and CNMs are required to be appointed to the Affiliated Medical Staff of a YNHHS Hospital and credentialed through the Medical Staff process. Evidence of current competence to practice as {an APRN, PA, CRNA, CNM} via appropriate reference letters from physicians and other practitioners must be able to be obtained during the Medical Staff appointment process in order to be eligible.
LICENSURE
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist AANA Certification, State of CT RN and APRN License, ACLS DEA Registration and State of CT Controlled Substance Registration
SPECIAL SKILLS
CRNA's must have sharp concentration and focus, along with the ability to stay calm under stressful conditions. CRNAs must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with surgeons and the surgical support team, as well as with patients and their families. A calm and reassuring manner is one way to inspire trust in patients, who may be apprehensive about surgery, as well as the surgical team. Anesthetic patient management must be immediate and responsive. Flexibility and adaptability are required.
PHYSICAL DEMAND
A CRNA must be able to demonstrate intellectual-conceptual, integrative and quantitative abilities; skills in observation, communication and motor functions; and mature behavioral and social attributes. Sensory- CRNA must be able to detect and interpret changes in monitoring alarms and equipment. Functional vision, hearing. no impairment of sense of smell and tactile sensation must be adequate. CRNA must be able to observe a patient accurately at a distance and close.Communication-CRNA should be able to speak, hear and observe. CRNA must be able to communicate effectively- includes speech, reading and writing.Motor -CRNA should have sufficient motor function to elicit pertinent information. CRNAs should be able to stand for long periods of time and wear lead as needed for fluoroscopy, X-Ray cases. CRNAs must have the ability to lift 25 pounds and reach above and below shoulder height. CRNA must be able to negotiate patient care environments and be able to move self/patients between anesthesia locations. Coordination of both gross and fine muscular movements, equilibrium, and functional use of the senses of touch and vision is required. Intellectual-Conceptual, Integrative and Quantitative Abilities-Abilities include measurement, calculation, reasoning, analysis and synthesis. Problem-solving, the critical skill demanded requires all of these intellectual abilities. CRNA should be able to comprehend 3-dimensional relationships and understand the spatial relationships. Behavioral and Social Attributes -CRNA must possess the emotional health required for full utilization of intellectual abilities, the exercise of good judgment, the prompt completion of responsibilities. CRNA must be able to tolerate physically taxing workloads and to function effectively under stress and able to adapt to changing environments, display flexibility and learn to function in the face of uncertainties inherent in the clinical problems of many patients.

Responsibilities:
Data Collection - The provider is responsible for:
* Conducting and implementing all required assessments including preference assessments, Skills Assessments, and Core Skills Assessments when appropriate.
* Accurately updating targets as needed, and proactively implements any programmatic changes given by the Program Director or Strand Specialist.
* Accurately taking programmatic data (both behavior and acquisition) in a timely manner on the ACE (Autism Curriculum Encyclopedia).

* Following each Behavior Support Plan as written for student, including effective antecedent strategies, reinforcement procedures, following crisis procedures, and seeking help when needed.
* Responding to any behaviors not outlined in the behavior support plan using standard ABA techniques.
Professionalism - The provider is responsible for:
* Participation in feedback sessions and accepting feedback given by the Program Director.
* Following procedures to minimize disruption to providing services, ensuring active presence at all sessions, and submitting stipend timesheets accurately and in a timely manner.
* Consistently exuding a professional disposition towards Special Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, students and families, as well as other school personnel; and maintains student confidentiality.
* Demonstrating fluent use of technology necessary to complete job requirements, such as Google Drive, EdPlan, ACE, Teach Now, etc. Ensures that all appropriate technology is up to date.
Direct Service - The provider is responsible for:
* Ensuring that tasks are prepared and ready for instruction on time and efficiently. Demonstrating fluency with materials necessary to conduct direct service sessions, such as token boards, first/then boards, etc.
* Activating appropriate programs as outlined in the IEP within 2 weeks of notification of a signed IEP, and implements all programs as written on the curriculum sheet across multiple settings including inclusion, specials, lunch/recess, etc.
* Establishing attention and reinforcement before beginning the session. Prompting functional communication as necessary. Completing the prescribed number of trials for each program according to the prescription sheet. Keeping student break time to a reasonable duration.
* Ensuring that the student is clear on how and when reinforcement is delivered, and delivers reinforcement on prescribed schedules.
* Building rapport with the students, and is always engaging and energetic when working with students.
Communication/Written Skills - The provider is responsible for:
* If assigned, completing Progress Reports and Annual Reviews at least 1 week before the due date, by referencing the ABA Specialist Task Due Google Calendar when applicable, and using planning time effectively. Ensuring that each document is complete with proper spelling, grammar, and data, following the most recent format provided by the Program Directors.
* Completing EdPlan session notes within 24 hours of each session, and takes no more than 10 minutes per 60 minute session to do so.
* Ensuring that written communications are clear, concise, and free of error, utilizing appropriate professional language.
* Communicating questions and concerns in a professional manner with teachers, ABA Specialists, Strand Specialists, Program Directors, and paraprofessionals, as demonstrated by initiation and response to emails within 48 hours.
* Responding to emails within 2 working days and completing RMTS (Random Moment Time Study) moments within the 48 hour timeline as required by state agencies.
Compensation:
ABA Specialists (or educators who have passed the ABA Specialist interview) will receive a stipend of $33 per hour for services provided that meet the above expectations. An additional 15 minutes for preparation, progress notes and other administrative tasks will be allocated for each hour of service.
Qualifications - Required:
* Currently in the role of ABA Specialist OR a BPS staff member who meets the criteria required for the role of ABA Specialist AND can pass the ABA Specialist interview

Support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in their homes and community to develop their maximum independence. Essential Functions
Provide assistance with informed decision making to enable positive outcomes with activities of daily living including personal care, household chores; health maintenance and relationship facilitation. Promote social opportunities and community inclusion for the individuals. Encourage independence and natural support by providing quality decision making opportunities. Promote appropriate communication and interactions consistent with agency values. Follow all care plans, including proper administration of medications. Objectively monitor; report and document individuals status, including implementing care plans and goals. Model and maintain a positive, supportive, productive team and work environment in multiple settings. Maintain required training, including Safety Care, CPR/AED/1st Aid; Human Rights, HIPAA. Honest, reliable and trustworthy with a respectful attitude and behavior that strives for excellence.
General Requirements
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Valid Driver's License with good driving background
Minimum of 2 to 3 years experience as a Direct Support Professional or Milieu Therapist.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Schedule
Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday
Shifts: 1st and 2nd with some flexibility to occasionally cover 3rd shift
Hours: 35
