As an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) you will care for our patients within the scope of training. Working collaboratively with other providers and staff to ensure efficient patient flow and a high level of patient satisfaction. Responsibilities
Perform complete, detailed, and accurate health histories, review patient records, develop comprehensive medical assessments, and order laboratory, radiological and diagnostic studies appropriate for complaint, race, sex, and physical condition of the patient
Formulate medical and nursing diagnoses and institute therapy or referrals of patients to the appropriate health care facilities, agencies, and other resources of the community or physician
Institute emergency measures and emergency treatment or appropriate stabilization measures in situations such as cardiac arrest, shock, hemorrhage, convulsions, poisoning, and allergic reactions
Interpret and analyze patient data to determine patient status, patient management and treatment
Provide instructions and guidance regarding health care and health care promotion to patients/family/ significant others

Qualifications

ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA Board Certified - (with 1 yr ER/UC experience preferred)

In this role, you will represent Trans Ova Genetics on-farm by delivering advanced reproductive services such as embryo transfer (ET), ovum pickup (OPU), and ultrasonography. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with clients and collaborate across departments within Trans Ova to support the ongoing growth and success of our clients' genetic goals.
Trans Ova Genetics provides in-depth training that provides a solid foundation prior to supporting client production and would require time dedicated to our training facility in Sioux Center, IA, which is critical to the success of this role.
This position requires regular travel across eastern Colorado, with potential of increased travel across the state in the future. This candidate would be a member of our Plains Region team and may be asked to provide relief coverage to surrounding states. Our ideal candidate would be located in northeast Colorado or willing to relocate; however, we welcome those in southeast Wyoming, southwest Nebraska, and northwest Kansas to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform bovine embryo flushing and transfer procedures in on-farm settings.
* Conduct ultrasound-guided transvaginal ovum pickup (OPU) procedures for in vitro fertilization (IVF) embryo production.
* Design, implement, and review superovulation and synchronization protocols for both donor and recipient cows.
* Use ultrasonography to:
* Determine pregnancy status in recipient cows.
* Evaluate fetal gender in ET and IVF pregnancies.
* Assess fetal number and viability in cows implanted with cloned or research embryos.
* Perform rectal palpations to evaluate the reproductive condition of incoming or backgrounded recipient cows.
* Ensure rigorous biosecurity compliance and help develop strategies to minimize disease transmission across all environments.
* Build strong relationship by providing excellent communication to our clients to ensure trust, transparency, and alignment.
* Provide regulatory oversight and compliance.
Other Skills and Valued Experience:
* Deep passion for bovine reproduction and a drive for continuous improvement in reproductive technologies.
* Demonstrated hands-on experience in bovine embryo transfer, IVF procedures, and reproductive evaluation strongly preferred.
* High level of professionalism with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Must possess strong physical stamina and the ability to perform repeated manipulations of the bovine reproductive tract.
* Excellent hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and tactile sensitivity required for delicate procedures.
Professional Services Veterinarian Education & Certification Requirements:
* Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent from a US accredited institution.

The Pet Care Assistant works with the veterinary medical team to provide and prepare for the best

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
• Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
• Prepare the treatment room for examination of pets and all necessary medical item and
supplies (e.g. vaccinations, fecal loops, slides, etc.) for the veterinarian and/or veterinary
technician. Set up fecals, smears, and skin scrapings as allowed by state rules and
regulations.
• Maintain the flow of the Cycle of Service in accordance with position. Provide Client
Education regarding preventive care, Optimum Wellness Plans, and basic status of
hospitalized pets. Serve as support to the Client Services Coordinator staff on an as-needed
basis.
• Hold or restrain pets during examination, treatment, or inoculation.
• Prepare routine in-house laboratory tests (e.g. canine heartworm, feline leukemia, FIV, and
canine parvovirus) as allowed by state rules and regulations.
• Monitor the comfort of hospitalized patients. Ensure the comfort of hospitalized patients by
"walking", exercising, feeding, and cleaning cages and pet (when approved by the
veterinarian or veterinary technician).
• Bathe and dip pets when necessary to treat dermatological conditions (when advised by
veterinarian or veterinary technician.
• Clean the surgical suite and instruments.
• Ensure cleanliness of the hospital including but not limited to housekeeping such as laundry,
dishes, mopping, cage cleaning, trash collection and removal and instrument cleaning as
outlined by hospital protocols
• Other job duties as assigned.

Role Overview:
An Acute Care Medical Provider is needed for night shift to help us in our endeavor to build the healthiest community in the nation … one person at a time.
This position will be based at the new and innovative acute care behavioral health facility, which opened in late 2023. SummitStone has the privilege of partnering closely with Larimer County on this venture. We provide comprehensive and collaborative care to individuals in crisis with mental health and/or substance use disorders.
The advanced practice provider (PA or NP) will provide professional services in the evaluation and treatment of clients at our acute care facility. The primary focus will be seeing clients in our behavioral health urgent care on the night shift, with some additional coverage of admitted clients on our crisis and detox units.
Major responsibilities of this position include: function as the medical team representative to a multidisciplinary treatment team designed to offer comprehensive behavioral health services; evaluate patients for substance use and medical disorders, determine the appropriate course of treatment for the patients; ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary team setting; and meet/maintain documentation standards and comply with county, state and federal laws, rules and regulations pertaining to health care.
This position requires knowledge of diversity and inclusion with the relevant ability to engage, communicate, interact, and work effectively and cooperatively with people of different backgrounds, identities, and culturally diverse communities.
Required:
Advanced Practice Nursing degree (APN) degree or Physician Assistant (PA) from an accredited university.
Demonstrated commitment and experience working with persons from marginalized communities and other patient populations experiencing vulnerabilities.
Understanding and commitment to Medications for Addiction Treatment and harm reduction principles.
Preferred:
Spanish language skills. Other language skills also beneficial.
At least 2 years' experience treating/servicing persons with substance use and mental health needs.
Strong understanding of substance use treatment and knowledge of withdrawal management processes.
Some positions include driving a company vehicle and require a valid Colorado driver's license.

What You'll Do:
As an Advanced Practice Provider - Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, the employee will provide direct professional services in the evaluation and treatment of clients in both the inpatient residential and outpatient environment at a community mental health center. The primary focus of this position will be substance use and physical health as it relates to the inpatient setting. Major responsibilities of this position include: function as the medical team representative to a multidisciplinary treatment team designed to offer comprehensive behavioral health services; evaluate patients for substance use and medical disorders, determine the appropriate course of treatment for the patients; ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary team setting; and meet/maintain documentation standards and comply with county, state and federal laws, rules and regulations pertaining to health care.
This position requires knowledge of diversity and inclusion with the relevant ability to engage, communicate, interact, and work effectively and cooperatively with people of different backgrounds, identities, and culturally diverse communities.
Required:
Advanced Practice Nursing degree (APN) degree or Physician Assistant (PA) from an accredited university.
DEA Certification with Colorado license to practice along with buprenorphine waiver.
Demonstrated commitment and experience working with persons from marginalized communities and other patient populations experiencing vulnerabilities.
Understanding and commitment to Medication Assisted Treatment and harm reduction principles.
Preferred:
Spanish language skills. Other language skills also beneficial.
At least 2 years' experience treating/servicing persons with substance use and mental health needs.
Strong understanding of substance use treatment and knowledge of withdrawal management processes.
Some positions include driving a company vehicle and require a valid Colorado driver's license.
