Position Overview:

We are seeking a few Corporate Sitter to join our elite team of professional on-call backup caregivers at AMP Placement! This flexible role is perfect for individuals who can work a few days during the week, during our high-demand periods, with the option to pick up additional work outside of these times if desired.
This position is ideal for a caregiver who thrives in a fun and dynamic environment and enjoys working with children of various ages, from infants to school-aged children.
Care is provided in family homes and our exclusive partner hotels. Flexibility to travel to different locations within the DC, MD, and VA areas is required.
Schedule:
Work primarily during peak childcare demand hours during weekdays, with the option to take on additional days and hours outside of peak times if desired
Peak time hours typically fall between 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM on weekdays
Weekend hours are available on occasions for those who are interested
$18 - $20/hour, with potential bonuses
Responsibilities:
Provide engaging, age-appropriate care for children (infants to 9 years old)
Travel to various family homes or hotels
Deliver exceptional, professional childcare and follow our high standards of service
Requirements:
Experience: 1-3 years of professional childcare experience (nanny, babysitter, teacher, daycare worker, pediatric nurse, etc.)
Skills: Experience caring for infants through school-aged children
Age: Minimum of 18 years old
Availability: Have at least 2-3 days per week
Transportation: Valid driver's license and insured personal vehicle
Active Uber or Lyft account for emergencies
Certification: CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to obtain certification)
Flexibility: Must be able to travel at least 45 minutes to 1 hour one way
References: 1-2 strong references or letters of recommendation

General Description
The Direct Support Professional will serve as a Client Mentor in our newly approved Youth Transitional Housing Program. DSP/Client Mentor will provide essential 24-hour awake coverage and supervision of the shelter and its clients. This position is responsible for the welfare, safety, and comfort, as well as daily support to the youth clients ages 18 -24 years old who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of being homeless. Additionally, clients may be economically and/or emotionally detached from their support network. Through this work, the client mentor will help youth improve basic life and interpersonal skills, access educational opportunities, assist with job preparation and attainment, access physical and mental health care, and obtain stable housing. The client mentor helps to create an environment in which youth are empowered to achieve the highest level of self-sufficiency possible. While participating in this program, clients will live at a site-based transitional housing program, located in Washington, DC.
The DSP/Client Mentor will provide crisis intervention and behavior modification supports to include active listening, redirection and mediation. The incumbent is required to stay awake, alert and always engaged during shift. Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED (required).
Minimum 1 year of experience of youth-related work, to include working with youth who are experiencing homelessness, mental health issues, and substance abuse.
Successful completion of background checks is required prior to hire, which includes a TB test, CJIS (FBI) clearance, DC Police Clearance, drug and alcohol screen and a health and wellness general screening by a nurse practitioner or physician and active CPR/First Aid Certification. These documents must be presented prior to hire and must be maintained and updated annually.
Experience working with transition-aged youth is preferred.
Sensitivity to the needs of youth (particularly youth of color, LGBTQ, low-income, and those who have experienced trauma) who are homeless or at risk for homelessness.
Familiarity with the Strengths-Based and Housing First approaches to case management.
Well-versed in trauma-informed service delivery, with experience executing this approach in housing programs.
Ability to provide services with empathy and with consideration of how trauma impacts the mental, physical, and psychological responses of clients.

Work Environment/Physical Effort

Requires ability to sit up to 3-6 hours per day with intermittent occasional walking and standing.

We are currently looking for a weekend dog walker to join our wonderful team in the Washington DC area.
Pet Sitters Responsibilities:
Work weekends. Saturday and Sunday and holidays when needed - 10 am - 3pm
Enter the homes of clients and visit with their pets for varying lengths of time (usually 30- 60 minutes each)
Walk pets as required from clients homes or at one of our daycares
Pick up pets and take them to the daycare
Drop off pets at home after a day at daycare
Walk pets to the grooming salon.
Communicate with clients and with management during visits.
Appropriate pet clean-up as required
