Provider (Mobile Crisis Team) - Positions available: Part-Time, Full-Time and PRN
Make a Difference in Youth & Family Services!
The provider will work alongside a licensed clinician as a two-person mobile crisis team. The team will respond to dispatches for behavioral health crises in Doña Ana County, to deliver timely support at the location of the crisis. The provider will support on-site de-escalation, regulatory services, and intervention to individuals experiencing psychological distress. The intention of the mobile crisis team is to provide appropriate care for the nature of the crisis, provide navigation or transportation to definitive care, if needed, and connect individuals to follow-up services.
What You'll Do:
Respond promptly to crisis calls and provide trauma-informed service, de-escalation, and crisis intervention
Develop safety plans and collaborate on appropriate level of care determinations
Facilitate warm hand-offs to higher level of care or ongoing care navigation
Document all clinical interventions according to program standards
Collaborate with emergency services, mental health facilities, and community providers
What You Need:
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related human-service field OR Emergency Medical Service Certification (Basic, Intermediate, or Paramedic) AND 2+ years experience in crisis services or similar setting
Knowledge of psychiatric conditions and crisis modalities
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
Training in suicide prevention and trauma-informed care
Familiarity with community resources and referral networks
Experience working with both adults and youth
Bilingual preferred
