We are currently hiring for Overnight House-Sitter/Pet-Sitters.
**We are especially interested in House-sitters available during our busiest time of year -- winter holiday break -- sometime between 12/23-1/2.
This position requires OVERNIGHT STAYS (sleeping over in a client's home) with the client's animals. Each overnight stay begins from the dinner period (arrival between 5-7pm) and continues until the morning period (departure between 7-9am).
Please note: House-sitters are NOT able to bring guests with them into the client's home during their stay.
House-sitting includes:
walking the dog(s)
feedings
medications if necessary
maintaining each animal's routine.
House-sitting may also include other pet-sitting or vacation care tasks such as bringing in the mail/newspaper, plant care, cleaning up messes (ie: hairballs, accidents), and keeping the home in order while the clients are away.
Fees
The base rate paid to a house-sitter for each night of house-sitting is $32.50 for one dog and goes up from there depending on client surcharges. There are extra fees given to the house-sitter for additional animals in the home, extra visits scheduled during the daytime, and for holidays. (Potential gratuity from clients is not reflected in this rate.)
Scheduling
House-sitting jobs last anywhere from 1 night to 2 weeks. House-sitters typically will take one booking per month. They may take on more bookings depending on their availability and client requests.
House-sitters are independent contractors with Heaven Sent and are offered client "bookings" as clients schedule vacation care with us. House-sitters work on an "as-needed" basis and accept or reject each booking on an individual basis.
HolidaysOur preference is that house-sitters are available for at least 2 out of 3 of our busiest holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas/New Years, Spring Break). There is an extra surcharge paid to sitters for holiday work.

Reception Hours
: Monday-Friday 6AM-2PM,8AM-4PM or 2PM-9PM & Saturday 8AM-4PM
Kennel Hours

Kennel
Supervise daycare and boarding dogs in a fun and safe environment. Provide enrichment and learning activates for all dogs in the playgroup.
Reception
Welcome clients and their dogs to The Dog House of L.C. & L., Inc. in a professional and friendly manner. Provide excellent customer service while answering customer questions, inquiries or taking reservation either over the phone, in person, or through email.

Duties and responsibilities
Kennel Duties
·Feed and medicate dogs accurately
·Monitor behaviors of the dogs in play group for any inappropriate or unusual behaviors and report to a superior
·Interact with the dogs in a fun and friendly manner while maintaining pack stability and command
·Take care of any foster dogs that come in through the rescue
Reception Duties
·Greet clients and their dogs that come into the lobby in a friendly and professional manner
·Check dogs in for daycare, boarding or grooming by bringing the dog back to the play area or grooming area and go over instructions with the owners
·Answer phone calls from clients, vendors or any other inquiries in a professional and friendly manner
·Check and respond to emails as needed throughout the day
·Make appointments and reservations for existing and new clients
·Filing, keeping accurate records in Gingr, calling vets for vaccine records, and making reminder phone calls
·Handle money and payment transaction accurately
·Prepare facility to hold Training Nights 3 times a week (moving dogs to different area of kennels)
Cleaning Duties
· Sweep, mop and dust lobby throughout the day to maintain a clean and welcoming environment
· Maintain a clean and organized work environment
· Shovel, sweep and clean up outside as needed throughout the day
· Dust and sanitize reception counter and desk at end of the night
· Let dogs out to potty and for walks as needed
· Feed and medicate dogs accurately as needed
· Wash dishes
· Complete laundry
· Pick up poop and pee when customer dogs or foster dogs have accidents
Working conditions
Position requires employee to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Must have an open availability.
Working in all types of weather is a possibility so an employee should be able to withstand the elements. Customer service is very important but occasionally an employee will need to handle difficult clients or situations in a professional manner. Working with dogs can be noisy at times, so employees must be able to tolerate and monitor noise levels.
Physical requirements
Must be able to stand for long periods of time, kneel, crouch, stoop, climb, lift objects and dogs up to 50lbs and do repetitive tasks. Must be able to visually see any health issues including injuries such as small scratches, punctures, redness, and limping. For employee safety they must be able to physically handle dogs of all sizes on and off leash.
Qualifications include
· High School Diploma or GED
· Experience working in customer service is preferred
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet Explorer
· Must be friendly and professional
· Have some dog experience
· Time management skills and patience are key in this role
· MUST work well under pressure and high stress situations
